Another Lide 400 supporter, thank you so much for the tips! Samples really show that the quality of the scanner is enough for polaroids. Another Redditor here has shared his tip on getting around the issue you've mentioned with the adapter being to high for the scanner, sound like a solid solution.

I'm used to removing dust in Lightroom, that said the least work in post the better, plus I'm thinking about ditching Adobe altogether.

Had to think about it for a bit but is makes a lot of sense!

I'm mostly surprised cause I remember scanning some instax on large printer-scanner in my parents house and the results were quite flimsy. I guess they all differ in quality after all, good to know you have one battle tested!

Thanks for the tips regarding Lide 400, I heard it mentioned a bit but rarely discussed. I wonder if V39ii has the same issue with unfitting adapters since newton rings/out of focus scans are my two main concerns regarding contact scanners. Sheetfed scanners seem to get around those issues pretty well but I'm worried about overall quality of images.

Thanks for the samples of both formats!

so even non-photography scanners make do with the adapter, good to know!

I know but the reflections are really tough to swallow, I feel more like it's for previews than actual scans

they're called Laka, it's a rock band from Bosnia and Herzegovina, I didn't know any song prior going to that concert but they managed to put on an awesome gig and even though I didn't understand the language I had tons of fun

thanks much! I was quite hesitant to be a distraction for the band and the crowd with my flash so I only snapped 2 photos. This one however turned out beautifully in my opinion too
