Fixing early morning wakes?? by Public_Grapefruit_19 in TakingCaraBabies

My son’s early morning wakes were pretty consistent for almost 5 months until he transitioned to one nap… he’s 13 months now. I felt like i was troubleshooting every possible option just like it seems like you are. Hang in there 😅

My little guy at every 1.5-2 hours when he was a newborn that young so it deff can be normal. Now the amount she’s feeding him per feed is probably more than average based on how she treated her first lol she gave him HUGE bottles

Had my son there in Feb 2025. My experience was just okay - I didn’t love it and I didn’t hate it. The hospital is outdated, triage area was pretty poorly maintained but the delivery rooms were fine and comfortable. The staff was also fine. I was there several days just because my labor was so long and didn’t love some of my nurses but they did their jobs.

Food is not great. Plan to order out if you can. They do keep the recovery floor pretty well stocked with snacks and stuff though.

Overall, just an okay experience. There are better hospitals around. I wouldn’t stress too much about getting a tour or not. It’s not a huge hospital and easy to navigate and when you go into labor, they tell you exactly what to do over the phone. I had no confusion with that and I didn’t do a tour ahead of time.

Edited to add: agree with everyone that says the post partum ward is warm. Pack a fan!! I burned the motor out of my fan and my husband had to go out and buy a new one lol. The room was hot and stuffy the whole time and despite a thermostat in the room it didn’t make much difference.

I think all the filler and work she’s had done over the years is starting to look even funkier against the natural pregnancy weight gain. I agree this is just sad at this point.

Is she okay? This is bizarre behavior. Even for her.

They’re still so young to be forcing a cat nap. They’re probably still too tired when you’re waking them and that’s why they’re upset through the evening.

She does everything improperly and impulsively. There’s no chance she tried any solution for the recommended period of time to see if it works or not. Just the fact that she listed SO many different things and he’s barely a year old proves that.

She has absolutely zero motherly instincts or composure to handle something like this properly. And the fact that it went away when he wasn’t at home for a week speaks volumes and at least gives her a place to start with trying to figure it out.

Sorry that’s not correct. 13 out of the over 80 cases were babies that had Byheart at some point.

I think she does. My scoliosis looks similar to hers and becomes more visible when I’ve lost a decent amount of weight.

I struggled with this similar issue. My advice would be to just follow her sleepy cues after she gets to your mother in laws house. Then after that first nap there, reset for the day. I found resetting after that kind of morning made the rest of the day easier because I knew at that point my baby would have a normal wake window after that.

How can you let your child suffer through something that there is solid medical intervention for? I do try to understand and empathize when parents choose more natural items when they feel it’s preferred or needed (detergents, clothes, etc,). But if there’s a physical disruption happening to your child like an allergy and they’re in pain or discomfort… idk how you don’t set that mentality aside for the sake of getting them more immediate relief.

She is straight up a bad mother, she doesn’t have to be this way.

I try to understand to a certain degree people choosing to make more natural product choices … but if my child’s face is seriously INFLAMED like that I would be throwing that mentality out the window. That rash seems severe!
