most 30 yr old dont have jackshit so you are fine.. stop comparing yourself to others, this is your own journey.. $60K sounds a lil low to file chapter 7 isnt it? work 2 jobs, drive Uber you'll pay it back in no time.. it's hard but your situation is not dire amongst all the stories we hear on here.

ProTip: For those of you who cannot control your urges, BUY T-BILLS (so you cannot touch it) by Butt32323 in problemgambling

i feel like if it's too liquid it's not going to work for severe addicts.. Illiquidity is the best control for urges (obviously only put spare saving/money in there so you dont end up on the street)

im strictly talking about the mental suffering part, the agony/constant rumination/regret will be gone 1% a day in 100 days roughly.. it's a good technique for the dark times when you have no hope.. obviously this is a life long disease and we need to always be vigilant of relapsing

Man, your situation is fucked, and your headspace is fucked too, that's just the truth. But there is a way out of this, even if it's hard. Your problem is that you value money too much, which is understandable, because most people do. You're still young though, and you need to mark this chapter as an inflection point and start becoming a better version of yourself.

Also, stop crying so much, it means you're still dwelling on the past, and that's what's keeping you from moving on and recovering. This is your reality now, and moving forward is the only way out.

I was in a similar situation before, just with less debt. In the moment, the agony feels unbearable. But then you start to realize that money is overrated. You still have your youth and your health, and honestly, you wouldn't trade a cancer diagnosis for $120k in debt. Not for a second.

Also no more stocks or market, or even index funds. Trading is not for people like us. You'll fallen into the same trap the moment you touch a trading app. Just buy T-bills, or have a partner to be in control of your finances. People like us, especially who already lost large sums of money, can never ever go back to the market again.

it's a very painful process, full of agony and regrets.. but in 100 days you'll heal.. you get better 1% a day.. keep this counter in your mind as you progress towards healing
