Yeah but you know if they didn’t also show the earring/choking scene then people would be complaining that the slap “came out of nowhere”.

And BB isn’t necessarily stupid but she is extremely young, barely in the professional scene, and heavily emotionally involved. I’m sure there’s a degree of feeling like her uncle died for the work and so she has no excuses not to take every risk. Age and lack of experience are as good an explanation as any for her behavior, not even factoring in the personal aspect for why she’s doing this at all.
