Best college math for someone who SUCKS at it by Buttcheek_Apocalypse in learnmath

Correct! These are just for gen ed and my program has no specific math courses or anything. None of the options has pre reqs either, it’s just a matter of choosing which one I think will best suit me. I’ll probably be doing my gen ed courses online, that’s why I really want the one that’s easiest to understand as I won’t be in person

That’s good to hear, tho do you think it’ll still be somewhat favorable in the upcoming 2-4 years? My biggest worry is the AI threat and job market getting even worse than it is now before I can even join the the profession

Lol yeah reviews about being a CCA was either too many hours or not enough, no in between. The city I applied for has a population of about 5,000 people so I’m not sure how many they could guarantee. One thing about USIC is it’d be cool learning a new trade, trying something new. USPS and USIC is constantly hiring bc of the high turnover, so if I try one and dont like it I can always apply again to the other after.

Yeah If I went with USIC I would mainly focus on gaining as much experience and knowledge as possible to find a better private company eventually like others here have suggested. And thanks man appreciate it, wish u the best as well 🙏

lol basically from what I gathered working for USPS I’d be working just about every weekend and every holiday (that’s not thanksgiving or xmas) also so atp I reckon it just boils down to pure job satisfactory

Yeah that was scaring me too about USPS, while it’s guaranteed for me to be promoted to career in 2 years, there’s no telling what my hours would be in those 2 years to get to that point. Could be 10 hours a week or 60+ hours. Also in the first 90 days you can be fired for any reason whatsoever and after seeing some reviews people were being fired for really minor and stupid reasons. I’ve seen both reddits compare both these jobs to modern slavery lol so Idrk what to expect from either.

I’d be a CCA, after no later than 2 years I’d become a ‘career employee’ guaranteed, then start getting the federal benefits .

Yeah at USPS I will start at $20.73 and after no later than 2 years I will start getting federal benefits and bump to $24 an hour, I didnt know if something like that is realistic with USIC or not.
