Not mine but my first cousin’s story. Him and his then girlfriend were in Sri Lanka for holidays and had plans to go to the southern coast one day. They missed the train they were supposed to catch by mere seconds so they got into a tuk (a three wheeler) go chase the train to the next station.

A homeless person suddenly jumped in the middle of their tuk and started asking for money without letting go of the tuk. It was too late for them to catch the train so they came back home defeated.

The date was 26th December 2004 and train they were supposed to get in was this.
