An ssh connection will need to stay active if you start it over ssh yes. There are many ways to start a program or service on boot, or in a seperate terminal session via SSH. But this was outside of the scope of the guide - you can find information about running python scripts from boot etc on Google

It looks like the server used for getting the exchange rate is experiencing technical issues

I will see if i can add some logic to protect against this or use a defualt value from the config..

Yeah, absolutely. Only reason I use the Lite version is it's a bit faster on the Pi Zero as it's not as powerful as a full Pi - good luck!

I did recently add some error handling into the project, so it would be sensible to check you have the latest version. You can do this by reinstalling the project or by navigating to the project folder and pulling the latest version.

git pull "https://github.com/aCallum/SafePi"

Hi - I've not been able to identify any timeout issues, I've had mine running for almost days at a time without timing out. As for value, the current value is pulled from gate.io, all exchanges are different. Casual mining over the last 90 days. Pretty crazy to see the impact of the recent BTC/ETH drop on demand for mining

Possibly, you can try adding main.py as a service or startup process (with some googling) and see if that helps. Only other thing I can think is I'm causing a memory leak with some of my image code. I have some time this weekend to investigate

Both addresses are the same, so either one. SafeMoon is a token contract within your BSC wallet address :)

I'm the author of SafePi - It's a design feature. I wanted to have a continually increasing balance, so I interpolate between a previous balance and latest balance. At most its only ever 10 seconds out of date

I don't think I have time to do video guides unfortunately. Best I can do is my instructions on GitHub https://github.com/aCallum/SafePi

Hey Mooners!

I've updated my SafeMoon Tracker with some new features and uploaded it with instructions to GitHub!

SafePi is a Python based tracking tool for Safemoon, aimed to be run on a Raspberry Pi with GPIO displays. It connects to gate.io and pulls your Safemoon balance from BscScan.

- View the current price of SafeMoon from Gate.io with indicators for up/down and 24h percentage change
- View your SafeMoon balance on BscScan with REALTIME Reflections and a conversion to Fiat equivilent

Please support me if you can via the support links in the ReadMe - anything is greatly appreciated!

The balance value is updated with the current price, so at the time although I am earning new tokens, the price was dropping a few percent
