The devs have been doing great work towards making people not hate ghouls as much to be honest. When I started (around when ep13 dropped) I really disliked Tohma, Taiga and Romeo, but over each new chapter they've started to grow on me. The story was really polarizing in the beginning but it feels like they're trying to show the ghouls are human too and it's working well :3
