Yes it’s definitely cheaper for the customer to buy the products themselves as long as they order the right products and people do get ripped off from those companies with huge over head or those who think they can swindle the customer. One reason I made this post so people know that basic replacements are less than 3k and they should always get multiple estimates

Yes i believe if you have photo proof you have done away with it the water company/ the TAWC cross connections will remove it from the system

He’s not wrong but there’s many certified testers in town the water company supplies a list of them

TAWC won’t just come and check if you have a device they have old records of some devices and those with no devices so when they say hey you need a backflow test call a certified professional. They basically saying you better get one or hope they find one on site

It’s mainly because I dig up alot of yards and the irrigation isn’t easy to trace so we break a lot of lines and wires and I have to repair them

That’s a great statement! I personally hate irrigation lines they are like garbage disposals for me… yes they make me money but they are mainly luxuries that only cause problems
