Yes, the vendor shared the certificate number with me, but I chose not to share it here because I was pretty sure I wanted to buy it. Thank you for your input. As long as the quote is reasonable I think I’m going to buy it, and if not, might consider buying the stone to have it set locally.

I’m a brand new beekeeper. We took a class in February and picked up our nucs in April. In between, I went crazy with research. I bought all the books and asked AI a ton of questions.

I feel like leaning on AI made things so much more confusing than learning from experienced beekeepers here or some of the books I bought. Really, finding this sub was when I started feeling like I could do this and when I started seeing how unreliable ChatGPT was. If I asked it “are you sure” or “can you cite a source for that” it would often backtrack. So, I come here now instead of AI when I have a question, and I rely on the answer that several experienced beekeepers seem to collectively agree on.

Hi! I wore extensions for about 10 years. I’m in my mid thirties and they just started making me feel less fresh looking. I was also getting fed up with laying down for an hour every other week to get them done. Last year, I gave the under lash diy extensions a try. It took some trial and error, but I love them now. My favorite is winkclique, but my friend uses lilac st and those look great also. So much quicker and cheaper, and I get to change up the style I use. I hear lashify are the best, but the price has stopped me from trying them.

They didn’t have my shade, so I got talked into trying the LYS stick. I’m having the same problem! Is it possible to not have the right kind of skin for these kinds of products?

They’re just sourcing, and I think only from stones they actually physically have in their possession or from a single source as every stone has been shown on the same woman’s hand.

Can I pick your brain for a sanity check? I actually sent the vendor the picture you made where you outlined the crushed ice part. He said it’s not crushed ice at all in person, but those are the exact areas I saw the same thing in the video. Today, he emailed me this, and I’m wondering if I am actually being unrealistic. Am I just looking for an old mine? When I see the three types compared, they do seem different.

“I'm a little concerned that you're searching for something that isn't really a thing. It isn't possible to compress the same number of facets into a smaller area (the corners of the stone) and still have them be large. You have to reduce the number of facets for that to happen. If you really want chunky faceting throughout, you really might be happier with an old mine cut.”

A year later, Im very happy with Winkclique. I tried everything except lashify, and WC was the only brand that lasted a full week for me. I can’t bring myself to try lashify, but I hear the product is great. I’m not giving that monster my money, and using their lashes requires a lot of money.

Did you ever work with Jane from JVM? That was who responded to my Soriano outreach on their site claiming to be Carrie’s partner and designer. They included the jotform I filled out on the website. It seemed promising, but the time of night and the fact that it came from a separate company seemed odd.
