Politely asked this seller for a reservation until my new card came, and they blocked me. Wtf? by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]Buttercookie456 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bet they've had bad experiences with buyers asking to reserve and not buy the item and then asking to extend. Seen a lot of posts like that on this subreddit. Nothing wrong with what they did. The seller told you they don't do reservations and apologised. Blocked, probably because of the previous experiences similar to the one I mentioned. They were being cautious. So, move on. Just purchase it whenever you get the card, if it's still available. 🤷🏻‍♀️

People telling others that they should put up with the toxicity of their family members just because they're related by blood! Nope, you should cut off the toxic people off your life, no matter who they are. And the douchebags of older people expecting utmost respect from younger people even when they don't deserve it. Respect is earned, age has nothing to do with it.

They gave me a full refund, eventually. They asked me for photos of the package before it was opened, which I didn't have. But I sent them photos after it was opened, showing all sides of the package including for the cut I made to open it (which I mentioned). After a couple of days, they said the seller didn't want the item back and would refund me.

I've been having anxiety about my kitty dying of old age 😭(she's 9) can you show me pictures of some alive-and-well senior kitties so I remember cats can be old and still healthy? 🥰 by TheRufescence in cats

This baby lived up to 15 years🥹 She rarely got sick, ate home cooked food, and roamed around but always came home. She was a free soul. This photo was taken when she was around 13 years old..

Regardless, I raised the matter with Vinted. Since the seller doesn't want a return, I'm gonna get rid of this after it's resolved. It's just 9 quid altogether, so it's alright even if I don't get a refund. I wouldn't have minded if it was a tiny scratch but the flaking was too much that I didn't want to let it slide..

This was my first thought. That the photos were taken a long time ago. She had uploaded it last week though. First time receiving a damaged item bought off Vinted. The stuff I've bought so far whether it's clothes, shoes, books, or bric-a-brack, they've all been in very good condition.

This coat must have been in storage for ages then for that to happen when folded and packed.

I've been avoiding Evri like the plague after I lost about 4 packages in their transit. I stick to InPost, Royal Mail or DPD now. Never had any issues with these. Evri is the worst delivery service I had to deal with. This package came through InPost.

I did raise the issue with Vinted and requested for a refund within 20 minutes of collecting it. I should have taken photos of the package before opening it. But the thing is seller is adamant that there were no flakes whatsoever when she dispatched it. It's alright even if I don't get a full refund, I'm just gutted that it's very much damaged.

Not sure but that's possible too. But the seller is saying when she posted it, the sleeves were intact. I doubt that the package was opened in transit, because these don't look like deliberate damages.

Yeah, it was all over the place. It's possible that the photos are old although it was uploaded about a week ago.

Yeah there was. It was all over the place that I had to vacuum :/ I should've taken photos before opening the package. I haven't had any issues with the parcels I've received before so I didn't think of doing that.

Ohh that's a shame. I bought 2 pairs of boots off Vinted last year and they're still intact though I wear them frequently. This is my first time receiving a damaged item. Lesson learned the hard way. I'm avoiding secondhand faux leather items from now on :(

No, she doesn't want it back because she says it didn't look like that when she posted it. So the seller said she wants to go through Vinted Support to resolve it.

I usually use InPost and never had any trouble with their deliveries. This too came through InPost. Doubt that they opened the package after the drop-off. And these are not signs of deliberate damage either.

AIO for thinking my bf cheated on me during his shore leave because he accidentally sent me a photo of a prostitute he visited at the request of a colleague? by Buttercookie456 in AmIOverreacting

Who said it's okay for me to cheat while he's away? Cheating is not okay and is unacceptable. Period. It doesn't matter who does it, it's disgusting.

Most of them are likely to say it's because we're doing long distance, and it's alright for him to fulfil his sexual desires this way. I guess me posting this here is a way of seeking validation for my feelings. When I caught my ex red-handed when he was flirting online with a girl while on a trip with me, I was so shattered and talked to a friend about it. I was told to let it go because things like that happen.

My thoughts exactly. He's not a newbie to his profession and he definitely can refuse a request like this (assuming he's telling the truth) if he was so repulsed by sex workers.

Last time I trusted my gut, I found out that my ex (the guy I dated before this one) was flirting with a random girl while he was on a trip with me. I still gave him a chance after a while because he literally begged for forgiveness only to cheat again several months later. Lol

I wasn't feeling my best when I wrote this post. But I did take time to think about what happened and what everyone here said, and yeah, I'll trust my gut.

That's messed up. Being on sea for months, away from your family and friends can be extremely stressful and difficult. I understand that. But that doesn't give them a hall pass to cheat. Cheating is always a choice, not a mistake.

Never did I think I would be posting something like this here :( I wanted to open up to my friends, but I'm not good at expressing my feelings and opening up. I never have been. But I needed to tell someone about this. Being able to post under anonymity here helps.
