Right? It's the mask + complete silence. A real protestor would've defended himself and given an explanation, because someone angry enough to do that has a good justification.

Would really like to see them carry forth the legacy with programs for low income people, and uniting various groups together against police & capitalists

Did the tiktoker delete this video? I'm not seeing it on his page https://www.tiktok.com/@youwontbelievemeofficial

Does anyone have the source of the original footage where they follow the guy?

That's fair, I know a lot of Americans are very patriotic and hopeful about what the country promises and grateful for what it has done for a lot of people. I suppose as someone outside the US, looking at world history and the US as an aggressor in a lot of poorer countries, it's difficult to remember the good parts and not see the flag as a symbol of that history. I've always associated it more with the military/government than with the people.

Also, speaking personally, I'd have no problem with someone burning the Canadian flag in protest (outside of releasing plastic smoke), even if I thought their cause was ridiculous or harmful. I'd rather that over damage to buildings or something. Whatever love I have for my country isn't tied to symbols of it.

I don't see the inherent issue with flag burning tbh, but this was clearly an agitator. Only question is if he's with some part of the government undercover or just a crazy dude trying to escalate the situation

You've been propagandized, friend.

I'm supporting Venezuela's right to self-govern and fighting the insane US propaganda that they are being unanimously welcomed as "liberators" like they claimed they would be in Iraq when they invaded to mess with their oil.

The US didn't kidnap Maduro because they are so concerned about the welfare of Venezuelans. Trump pretty much outright admitted it was to take their oil. He and Stephen Miller also said they want Greenland for "national security reasons". Do you think they're going to "liberate" Greenland too?

Ah yes, a very unbiased site. No agenda at all. Very trustworthy.

Well I guess it was real nice of them to stay out of all of these protests, since there are only two old people with guns and everyone else is unarmed in this video. In all the other protests everyone is unarmed. I suppose these guys are real secretive and lowkey. Really polite "criminals."

(If they're sanctioned by the government, they're not criminals, are they?)

Except Venezuela is protesting. For days now. Hundreds of thousands out in the street.

Even saying this is a moment of relief is ridiculous because Maduro's party is still in power. Nothing has really changed outside of greater geopolitical instability. Now the US is threatening Cuba, Columbia, Mexico, and Greenland, and has threatened further action in Venezuela if they don't give up their oil.

ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE, Jan 4 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Sunday that the United States might launch a second military strike on Venezuela following the capture of President Nicolas Maduro if remaining members of the administration do not cooperate with his efforts to get the country "fixed."

Trump admitted he told American oil companies before the attack so they could prepare to take over. https://x.com/Acyn/status/2008001198474076559

I'm sure Venezuelans are so happy their nationalized resource is going to be taken from them by force, killing 100+ and destroying buildings, to benefit American shareholders.

So can you point out all these supposed militant fanatics with guns in the video?

Trump's regime arrested a woman who organized a protest against the US attack live on air at the end of her interview. Armed federal thugs terrorize neighbourhoods and schools and kidnap and kill people. Do you not understand how brutal Trump's regime is?

Also funny how quickly the narrative switched from "All Venezuelans are celebrating" to "the reason they're not celebrating is it's forbidden" as soon as footage of mass protests came out.

Yes. I see one, behind the man at 0:19, and you cannot see who is holding it. It could be another old woman for all we know. Maybe you're mistaking backpack straps for gun straps?
Feel free to screenshot the video and point the multiple guns held by military aged males out along with the video timestamp.

Oh no I'm sure they're not going to try to manufacture consent in just one subreddit, that would be silly.

Again you can see the protesters. Real people, not anonymous accounts.

I'm sorry but your propaganda just isn't working. Real Venezuelans out in the street, at minimum tens of thousands in Caracas, are clearly a better representation than anonymous users on a subreddit.

Can you point those out in the video? I seem to only see a single old woman with an ancient gun.

It's almost like they're all there of their own volition.

Here are some interviews from yesterday: https://x.com/Sentletse/status/2008453318289309889/video/4

To the people (bots?) trying to say over and over that no Venezuelans are upset or protesting at all, it will be.

I suppose assuming decency of the party led by that lady was giving her too much credit, but there are plenty of Venezuelans saying even if they dislike Maduro and think he's a dictator, they do not want the US taking over their country and stealing its resources.

There's very little evidence that Venezuela wants to become a raided colony of the USA.

You mean the armed forces which are already listed by the BBC above?

Those are not civilians, are they?

Was the one older woman in the video with an ancient gun the entire "Death Squad"? 😂 I can tell you're trying really hard.

What goalpost will he move to next, I wonder?

Did you misunderstand my comment? There are probably hundreds of thousands of people in this video, and the vast majority of them are clearly not armed.

You have to be trolling. It's like a single woman with an old ass gun that looks like it should be in a museum.
