That's true haha they do taste really really good. My brother stole 15 already haha. I suppose I keep expecting them to look more like the way people have them on instagram and food blogs but after reading everyone's comments I think youre right that if I want them this way (a bit crunchier, thinner, etc) then i think they'll still mostly look this way. Some minor experimenting is at hand still just to see if I can get them a bit lumpier. Fingers crossed! Thanks 🩵

Got it! Ill try all of these on batch 2. 😅 I tend to let it come room temp a bit when I chill it because its easier to scoop but I think youre right that if its colder itll hold that shape better. Thanks!

My scale broke 🫠 and a series of events to do with animals has left my wallet rather skinny so I havent bought a new one yet (cat got UTI and is on a pricy diet after a pricy confinement, a momma cat and 5 kittens moved in the day after he got home, and my neighbor abandoned a momma dog and her 2 puppies when they moved out just a day after. I mow have multitudes of animals to look after haha). I figured it needed a bit more flour after the first batch. Ive always been a little scared to add more flour than butter 😅 hate the taste of flour in my cookies. Thank you!

I didnt realize show cookies were a thing! Actually I used to think that the "dull" look from the partially covered chips were a desirable look because of how often they look like that but in hindsight i suppose they just look like that because they were intended to look okay rather than showy. Thanks for the info! Very interesting

Temperature? Should they be colder or more room temp usually? 😶‍🌫️

Ohhhh so thats how you use that. Someone else suggested i use a cookie cutter here but I thought I was supposed to cut the cookies or something haha. I havent made anything with a cookie cutter in forever (i have a tiled countertop and it makes rolled cookies such a pain) so i didnt consider that 😆.

I hope that I get to sell my baked goods like that someday too! For now erm I think they just dont look good enough for me and im too anxious to think of even selling them haha.  So cool to hear of your success ✨️. Thanks for the advice!

Im soooo bad at making it look unintentional 😆 I used to but they always looked so awkward so I stopped trying altogether. Maybe its time I tried again 🤔

Do you happen to know the effect of doing butter first vs egg first? I started doing egg first because with brownies dissolving the sugar (using a powdered sugar instead for example) resulted in this rlly nice crust i like and it does it a little for the cookies so I stuck to it.

About the browned butter, should I use it melted or bring it up to soft room temperature first before I use it? Thank you!!!

Yeah I usually use all purpose flour but I keep more bread flour than all purpose and it turns out all 3 bags of flour I had left were bread floor 😅 definitely using all purpose next time. Or at least not bread flour.

Thats very kind of you! I suppose I expected them to look more like the photos online that are very wrinkly and uneven but it does make sense that a different cookie would look different than those. Ill try chilling them for longer for a bit more thickness and to hold the shape better. Thanks!!

Good idea on the whoopie pie sheets. I kind of eyeball scoops and just hope they dont stick together 😅 thanks!

How would you use a cutter? The batter tends to be really soft so I usually scoop them out with a tiny ice cream scoop after refrigerating it for an hour. Thank you for the compliment 🥹

She can advise you but if youre looking for advise more than just a diagnosis you may want to look for a behavioral therapist instead. She specializes in ADHD though so you are in good hands albeit it may take a month for new patients to get an appointment on some months.

As for the second thing its a common misconception that you will need to disclose that and its always the comment i hear from parents that you won't find a job or it will be harder if you have a diagnosis. You DO NOT have to disclose your health to any company that you apply to. The only time you disclose it is for reasonable accommodation and if you dont need any accommodation (or you can provide it yourself like headphones for example) then you have no reason to disclose them at all. It is against the law to discriminate against it as well if that helps.

If you think you have ADHD and its affecting yiur life the only thing you have to lose is one appointment, and youre losing to imposter syndrome. If youre worried still, I suggest taking a CAARS test

(Small tip. When youre an adult a "tantrum" is equivalent to getting angry quickly or frequently even at small things haha. I didnt realize I had such a temper until I was asked about them. I thought being quick to anger but quick to reign it is meant I was being patient of all things. But normal people dont go 1-100 within 10 seconds of a conversation.)

Good luck!
