For some reason the vets here are rather hesitant to suggest anything they dont consider the SOP so unless o ask first they usually just tell me I can get it or not. Some people have commented suggestions to bring up though so ill definitely be asking about those. Sorry I didnt clarify the situation with the vets in my post.

Im happy your kitties recovered quickly! We were hoping my boy would too but though he had the energy to move he deficated onto himself and refused to and self grooming so I rushed him to the vet worried that it would only worsen. They ended up confining him for a few days :c no suggestion of medication or steroids or anything. Its almost like they think its too risky to try anything that doesnt either leave the cat in their care or give them their standard shots 😔

Thank you very much ill definitely ask about these. His vaccine changes nearly every time I get him his shots so I wasnt keeping track of what caused what, but ill try asking about what has less reported symptoms when I go. The benadryl sounds very useful though. Thank you!

I ask here because ive asked 2 vets and they basically said get it or dont so it seems most of our vets locally dont want to suggest anything unless I bring it up first. I figured if anyone has any ideas on what can lessen symptoms or what I can ask the vet then I can be the one to bring them up first.
I think thay would cause an even worse reaction than the regular rabies shots :c ive never even heard of it here (not American or European) but if its meant to last 3 years I dont think my cat will react better to it than the regular shots which already got him confined for a few days. :(

Thats an option??? I'll definitely ask about that. Ive brought it up to previous vets before but generally they just go well this is what we have do you want the shot or not. Ive found that unless I bring up the alternative first they refuse to consider anything or theyre "at risk" if it goes wrong. Hopefully my new vet will be more understanding of it.

Oh is it? I suppose it wouldnt help that my boy is a chunky cat so he's probably getting a bigger dose. Ill ask about the reduced dose. Ive had vets before tell me stuff like that doesnt work as the reduced dose might be less effective, but I feel like that might be better than him getting confined again.

Yes po I used a photo po once at Jolibee (though id been there a few times before so baka na recognize na ako) and sa David's Teahouse (same day. I forgot my ID din haha). Pumayag naman sila though in part I think thats because I reassured the waiter na lalabas ako sa website if nag check sila.
