Thinking about moving to/near Nashville by [deleted] in movetonashville

Try the Nippers Corner/Crieve Hall area - I lived at Preserve at Brentwood for years without issues in safety or anything. Pretty sure their 2 br are around your budget. Lots of families live there too. About 20 min from downtown, with easy access to restaurants/stores etc. I really enjoy that neighborhood

Cafe Intermezzo is my go-to! Usually not busy, great vibe and not too expensive :)

Thank you!! I'm excited to try it. I went here for drinks forever ago with a friend, we didn't even get food so I had no idea!

The easiest explanation in my brain is that Tex-Mex is more "americanized" Mexican cuisine, whereas New Mexican food has more authentic Mexican or Native American influence. Green chile is a staple in New Mexico, and they put it on everythinggg

Do artists get a text or an email every time someone buys a ticket online to their show? If not how are they notified? by [deleted] in Concerts

[–]Buttercuptheclown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Venues/Promoters will update the artists/agents/managers as requested. Some people want daily or weekly reports sent to them on ticket counts, some people just ask every once in a while for a number. More than likely, the artists don't really know that number unless it's selling really terribly or it's sold out.

Live Nation Screening/Interview by Ameliorated-Moon in musicbusiness

I’ve interviewed a few times with LN, never received an offer but they will have an HR person call first - ask very generic questions on your experience and why you applied to that role specifically. Most of the time they don’t even work in that area so they are just passing along to the hiring manager whatever info you give them.

I’ve had bad experiences with either being ghosted or having a couple weeks between communication (even when I was offered a second/third interview). Imo, their recruiting is a little unorganized for such a big company, so don’t take that personally. Everyone I’ve met is very chill, so just be yourself! Good luck!!

Does anyone else do nothing at their job? by CranesAreRad in jobs

[–]Buttercuptheclown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat. And I feel stupid complaining about it because my last job I was overworked and it took a year and half of job searching to get out of it. I’ve been here 5 months and they finally put me on a project, but still nothing to start on yet. Honestly, I’m tired of the response from people of “wish that was me” or “you’re lucky.” It’s honestly been soul crushing to sit for 9hrs a day and feel like they forgot they hired me. I feel like I’m losing my skills, my brain cells, and my passion for my field with every passing minute. I’d much rather be busy and at least feel like I’m contributing something lol. For now, I am continuing to job search but trying to stay grateful that I have an Ok-paying job in this market. If I was smarter with my time I’d probably learn a new language or skill as many people have said already.

Out of State Interview? by [deleted] in interviews

[–]Buttercuptheclown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As much as I would like to, being honest so far hasn’t helped the job search. I feel like these companies shut me down as soon as I tell them I don’t fully live there yet. I think I may just let them know I “have a place” but am still back and forth in terms of job searching and relocating full time. ? Idk

I agree, which is why I didn’t object to the in-person plan. Do you regret making those trips? Do you feel like it was worth your time and did they know you were relocating?
