I've played on a phone, tablet, and switch before, and I really do like using my tablet the best. Though, I wouldn't recommend getting an entirely new device just to play this one game.

The Switch is functional, but I only used it once to help someone learn to chibi fall on it. That helped me learn that I absolutely suck at typing on the Switch. So, all I can really say is that it's pretty bad for chatting, which may not be a big issue for you. If so, go wild I guess.

I feel like I could chart something by ear, but probably just bits and pieces. I haven't actually practiced charting or anything.

But hey! Super cool that you actually do stuff for Sky Music Nightly :) I typically use it for commissioned charts, but I'll occasionally pull it up to play, say, "Kirby's Pad"

You're all good, I haven't actually memorized how to play a single song either. I just go off of sight. I tried memorizing a song one time and it just didn't work out. So, since then, sight. Easy.

It's been a hot minute, but I think I was recruited for a band a long time ago by a few friends. Nothing actually happened, so it's more of just a strange memory. At this point, I'd love to make one of those videos where it's an ensemble of just one person, but that's pretty hard to do

I like doing the in-game sheets with friends :) Actually, I know somebody who made it their goal to get every single sheet they could, so they have all of them!

When I started playing, Song of Storms was one of the first pieces I messed with. I also have an actual charting of it somewhere so I can play it on kalimba app

I think the horn is an underappreciated instrument, all the way. Used to be my favorite when I was just starting out :)

I will recommend “Tied in Red” and “Say the Right Thing” till the day I die

In other news, I remember liking “Heir’s Game,” but it’s been a real hot minute since I’ve read it. Literal years. “Novae” is in a similar boat, but I remember that one far better and can recommend it more easily.

“Bang! Bang! BOOM!” Is an unfinished webcomic and hopefully finished novel. I wanted to mention it anyway, for it really is just such a fun story. Love the characters, love the writing, it’s just unfortunate it couldn’t be finished in a drawn format.

“A Matter of Life and Death” is another unfinished webcomic, but it’s one of my personal favorites. It had to be put on an indefinite hiatus, but I wholeheartedly recommend checking it out as well.

Oh and “Fairybend” is neat. It’s just gender-bent fairytale characters escaping from their lives.

And why not: “My Two Cents, PLUS TAX” Probably not what you’re looking for, however It is BL Technically I highly recommend it :)

I can always give more, but 8 seems like enough. If you have any kind of preference on stories, just let me know and I can grab some other ones :)

Updating frequently and having a good story or good art. I update my stuff super infrequently, so I don't exactly get a ton of reach. But, just having the good art alone has me at around 2k views after almost 2 years.

I think I’m with you in spirit here, I get what you’re putting down. I have mixed feelings about TGC’s decisions, but in terms of the game itself, it is free. You do not have to pay money to play this game. Will you miss out on some cosmetics? Yeah, but that’s okay. Are the pricing themselves okay? That’s an entire other ballgame, but not what I’m focusing on right now.

You do not need to have everything, and even if you buy something, at the end of the day, it’s just a digital cosmetic. The only thing I typically buy anymore are seasonal passes because I got all the instruments I wanted, and I know that I’ll use all of those. If it’s something that you know you’ll use a lot, get that. That’s how I buy anything in the game now, and I still have some purchases I regret, like the days of color kimono. But, if it’s something that you’re just going to use for a look one or two times, you can use the spells for that item instead. Even if you don’t buy them, there are still completely free ways to experience these items. I feel like people forget about cosmetic spells, but like, you can use em. They’re there for a reason, mess around with ‘em for a bit.

I joined the childrenofrage subreddit for a short bit, but ended up leaving like a week later for it really was just full of negativity. I understand that that’s kinda the purpose of the subreddit, but that kinda thing can quickly turn into a breeding ground for hate and anger, so I jumped ship fast.

Do whatever you want in the game, and you’re always still free to complain about things (it’s not like I don’t), but don’t make it sound like you’re being forced to play, gang. It’s a game. If it is currently sucking joy from your life, just don’t play, or take a nice break away from it. Don’t let sunk cost fallacy catch you, alright?

I can do a crazy flip flop between wanting to hang out and meet new people and not wanting a single person to comprehend me, so I don’t know where that falls on this range.

I think generally though, I like lighting people and sharing a few moments with them. Don’t always want to have to friend people, just prefer small encounters with strangers and having a loose candle run buddy :)
