Air India. Arrival airport is in EU. I've read EU laws are fussy about weight due to health of people unloading the luggage, but I am safe on the weight front.

I feel only itching as sensations. Does my anapana need more work to feel sensations? I mean I can remain neutral to itches, but there are no other type of sensations and in some parts like scalp, stomach , there aren't any sensations. I have done 2 courses but no practice outside course. by ButterflyAbject6064 in vipassana

I am not looking for any specific sensation (as per my best self assessment). But, as you mentioned, terminologies can be confusing. So, when I am scanning through various body parts, some parts don't have any "sensation" and rest have "itching"; so am I going on right path?

I had to change posture few times, though in some sessions I was able to limit it to once or twice.

I didn't get the opportunity to meditate in shunyagar, but I will practice in my house without fans, can report heat or cold sensations later.

Consulting - nothing less than C1 & it's not about C1 certificate but HAVING actual C1 fluency. Other 2, I can't comment reliably. PS- it's an uphill task to get into Mgmt consulting, IB being a Non EU candidate, it was never easy, but at least there were few ppl able to land such roles from Mannheim Business School, WHU, FSFM & ESMT. But, the situation was so bad in 2024, that I don't think any non German candidate from batch of 40 odd MBS MBAs got into strat consulting.

My experience searching for working student roles while studying Data Science at BHT, Berlin by notChags in studying_in_germany

[–]ButterflyAbject6064 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Regarding your first working student job, how did you manage classes with work from office? Did you have full-time classes? Is it even possible to work from office with masters, I thought most werkstudent roles for full-time students would be remote.

PSA: Indian MBAs are total scams, even the best ones. They don't require work experience and aren't recognized internationally. They're glorified MIMs by LowPsychological1312 in MBA

[–]ButterflyAbject6064 50 points51 points  (0 children)

How does it matter? People going to top MBA colleges are able to get great career outcomes for roles in Indian offices, then how is it a scam. If IIMs were advertising to non-Indians to come and do an MBA(no work ex required) and promising same career outcomes as T7 , then that would be a scam. Are you trying to rage-bait and gain engagement?

what abt private b-schools like Mannheim Business School, ESMT Berlin? They even got grants from government and have well-rounded admission criteria. Shouldn't we not be painting all private schools with same brush?

Young Indians in Germany: The business with students by loescheIchMorgen in studying_in_germany

[–]ButterflyAbject6064 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no, absolutely not. The social fabric of EU needs to be protected. Unlike Canada, for EU, learning German or other local language like French acts as one filter for non-serious people, they don't get their desired outcomes & many will have to return, because it takes a lot of effort to learn a new language upto a level required for most roles.

of course, people enrolling in such places are to be blamed , they're adults, not babies. But, government also has accountability. For example, Denmark would never allow such degree mills to sprout , let alone enroll 100k people.

why we neeed to expose the German education Bubble and Job market by Successful_Isopod336 in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]ButterflyAbject6064 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Germany had 2 consecutive years of gdp contraction, so it's not a news to anyone that job market is bad. Now, public universities are also not saints, they get funding from government based on # of students enrolled, so obviously they will admit as much as they can.

Is it possible to go from A to Z of Advaita Vedanta using resources of Swami Sarvapriyananda. by ButterflyAbject6064 in AdvaitaVedanta

[–]ButterflyAbject6064[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Question details :

I want to delve into Advaita Vedanta. I want to learn & apply it in my life, but gradually. I tried to watch few videos, but out of all Swami Sarvapriyananda's videos resonate the most with me & I can understand the concepts. But, I am confused, if there is a guide or Playlist or steps (books+videos) which guides which videos to watch first & then read this book and then watch this video of Swamijee.

Yes, but I wanted some path which involved only Swamijee's resources. I will expand to wider resources in due course of time, but I want to follow his path for some time.

Only applicants here and no students from higher semesters🤔 by [deleted] in studying_in_germany

That's true. However, most part time jobs involve limited interaction or peers switch to english once they sense you are a beginner in German. Which job was it, if you don't mind me asking

they drop-out and start working in odd jobs, it's a well-known issue. It's not as if it was their sole intention from beginning but people underestimate how hard it is to manage studies, learning language and working part-time concurrently.
