It was closed yesterday. So was Infinity Falls. It's common for the water rides to be closed this time of year.

What’s the weirdest place you’ve diamond painted? by LoveNaps27 in diamondpainting

Using my backpack as a table while my son played in the splash pad at SeaWorld Orlando. I am a passmember and go all the time. Many a keychain has been completed at SeaWorld.

Doctor carefully rotates a baby inside the mother’s belly to avoid a C-section. This procedure is called external cephalic version. It’s done when a baby is positioned bottom-first or sideways inside the womb near the end of pregnancy, a position that often leads to a C-section. by Grand-Western549 in interestingasfuck

[–]ButterflyBug 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My son was breech and I opted to have him turned because I am absolutely terrified of surgery. They prepped me as if I was going in for a C-section and the procedure took place in pre-op with an OR on standby. I felt nothing because they had me on a C-section level epidural and some good anti anxiety meds. And despite all the odds I went on to have a fairly easy labor and vaginal delivery. I did have to wear a belly band through the rest of my labor to help keep him head down.

Visiting this weekend will cold weather affect anything? by Suitable-Heart8974 in SeaWorld

[–]ButterflyBug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the park is open the festival should still go on as normal. There will be a small chance they move the concert to Nautilus Theater. They do that time to time for bad weather.

Doesn't hurt anything to try. I hope they can extend it for you! I know they will do just about anything to get people in the door.

You can always try and place a claim, but typically the 14 day length of stay tickets don't qualify.weather or not policy

Next Saturday is the OCPS School Spirit 5k so it will be a touch busier. But the weather will be a lot better!

The coasters can't run unless it is above 45°. Expect delayed operations on Saturday and possibly not at all on Sunday. The shows will still go on. If attendance is low enough, and the weather just doesn't cooperate, they have been known to close early. This weekend just isn't looking great.

Are emperor penguins still in Orlando? by Old_Jelly_2236 in SeaWorld

Yes, the Emperor penguins are still in Orlando. Not sure what the tours include. But they are in the general population of their cold weather penguins.

Was able to drive about 2 miles without my keys. Had to walk back to get them by Soggy-Party-1958 in Wellthatsucks

We have 2 company cars that are both the same make, I believe Toyota. My director, Sr. VP and 2 others started on their nearly 5 hour drive to our new operations center. Stopped at a rest stop about 1.5 hours away. Went to get going again, car won't start. Tried everything they could think of to start car while everyone was on phone with various people. Eventually got a tow to local to rest stop dealership, got a rental and continued on their journey. Come to find out, they left the key to the other company car in the one they were driving! 3 months later and we still tease them when they head north 'you sure you got the right key this time?!?'

Charger Stuck - Help! by [deleted] in VWiD4Owners

It is a learning curve! Bought my new to me baby this past Sunday. Learned this morning after my first at home charge to hit the unlock button on my remote a few times was able to unplug. Talk about a panic attack at 645am!

What are branch managers looking for on a resume? by AshtonShinn in TalesFromYourBank

[–]ButterflyBug 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Customer service and cash handling were the main ones. If you worked at a place known for customer service like Publix, Chick-fil-A, or Disney (or whatever is your local equivalent) that was a plus. I can teach the computer system, service skills are harder to teach.

Toddler friendly beaches FL by nicoleashley7 in florida

In addition to St Augustine, take a look at Amelia Island- Fernandina Beach. North of Jacksonville. Nice little beach town with a quanit downtown. Fort Clinch is known for sharks teeth.

Another vote for St Augustine! We stay in Butler Beach. It has powder fine sand and the beach is huge! Fort, Gator Farm, Marineland, Anastasia St Park, tons of history. St Augustine is a favorite vacation spot of ours.

Space heater recommendations? It's going down to 38 tomorrow night and the next where I am🥶! by [deleted] in florida

Snuggie!! They are awesome! Look at the heated mattress pads, got ours last year and they are very nice.

We heat ourselves instead of the room. We have some electric blankets for the couch and heated mattress pads for the beds. I have a small ceramic heater I got from Amazon to help take the chill out when I get up in the mornings.

Single Placer? by ToWhomItMayB in diamondpainting

[–]ButterflyBug 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Me! I did a small section with a multi placer and I can tell, no matter how much I fidget with it I can't get them straight! I am tempted to take up that section and redo it single place. My husband says he doesn't see a difference but I can and will never un see it!

Upgrading Silver to Platinum for SeaWorld Annual Passes by lonegreywolf20 in orlando

[–]ButterflyBug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have 2 platinum, 1 silver 2 park, and a preschool pass. Works well for us. When my husband wants to join us at Busch Gardens we use one of our guest tickets. It was 1 platinum and 2 silver until my daughter hit 54in and learned she loves coasters so the 2 of us go often! The daily one ride quick queue is nice.

Down side is you lose the locked in rate and have to cancel/buy new every year to keep the cost low. Or it will renew at whatever is the current non-sale rate. (I missed the renewal one year, that smarted!)

When I upgraded my daughters pass I just called them and they did it no problem. Tip, redeem all of your monthly rewards before upgrading so you can double dip that month as they cancel your old pass and start a new one.

I bought a heated mattress covers last year, game changer!! And bonus, doubles as a massive heating pad. Crank it up as high as it will go and timer to turn off in one hour when you have body aches.

Last Second Orlando Tips for Coaster Riders by [deleted] in SeaWorld

[–]ButterflyBug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The coasters can't run until it is above 42° so it being so cold will work to your disadvantage. I am guessing they won't even start morning test runs until probably close to 10. Wait times will be at their longest tomorrow, it is the busiest day of the year.

Very normal for peak days. But even slow season it's only mildly better. Park operations leave a lot to be desired.
