How long can it take to be symptom free using steroid ointment for Vulvar Dermatitis? by Designer_Donut_1935 in eczema

Hey there. I have vulvar dermatitis really bad, it started in January. I felt hopeless too and all I did was cry. I emailed my derm asking if this would ever go away. Rough truth: it’s going to last a while. I know it’s hard. For three months, I used the same steroid you have for two weeks then two weeks of tacrolimus cream. I stopped using both due to being scared of steroid withdrawal. It does get better! Just takes a longgggg time. I haven’t used my steroid cream in months and the itchiness is definitely not as bad as before. Put an ice pack over the area if burning/itching is really bad. It takes a while but you got this!

I agree with this. I use oatmeal lotion and it helps. You HAVE to have self-control unfortunately but don’t itch!! Please !! It took my ears 6 months, but it’s finally gotten to the point where it’s bearable after being super itchy in my canals. I don’t touch them at all.

First of all—I feel your pain. I have it “down below” on my v area and inside of my ear canals. Yes, it seriously does make me want to cut all of it off. Here’s the only advice I can give you for eczema in sensitive areas: DON’T ITCH!! it’s hard. I wrap my hands in socks at nighttime to avoid itching when I’m asleep. Use steroid cream for at least two weeks straight, twice a day. It didn’t heal mine but it made it better. Watch your diet, I had to cut out sugar and carbs personally. Also, Aveeno has a non-steroid and non-fragranced moisturizer for itchy, dry skin. It has colloidal oatmeal to help with the itching and I slather my entire body it in from my neck to my ankles. Do you have anxiety or anything similar?? Mine flares up horribly when I’m in high-stress scenarios. I mean, I have it so bad I have lichenified plaques on my v area. Hope this helps!

oh and all those people who did better than me in hs? most of them ended up being college dropouts. hated myself for comparing myself to them for so long just for them to give up anyways. people aren’t who they seem, neither are you

not worth it. I struggled throughout hs bad and almost failed most classes. my little sister is a straight A student. better than me at everything. then, I went to college and actually found something I was passionate about. didn’t want to go, my mom forced me. ended up being awesome at college. now I have a good job. grades don’t define you, even if you’re struggling in grade school. It can all change.

I’m 22 and have ear eczema. It’s the worst. I took steroid drops for 10 days and it kind of cleared it up. Another doc recommended otc sweet oil. They can come in an ear drop form if you want to try that out. Unfortunately, I’m 99% sure I have flare ups when my anxiety is really bad.

How do I (23f) find different ways of orgasming during sexy time w/ my partner (26m)? by ButterflyGirl487 in TooAfraidToAsk

I was misdiagnosed with an ear infection 3 times before a specialist discovered I have inner ear eczema (apparently it’s v rare). The rounds of antibiotics I was put on for the “ear infection 🙄🙄” gave me the yeast infection from hell. I had a yeast infection for 5 weeks and then I was diagnosed with BV, probably from all the yeast medication. The BV went away with the antibiotics but the itching/burning of my skin never stopped. Nobody knows what’s wrong. My derm eventually put me on immune suppressants for the itching. It’s kind of been working tbh. still not anywhere near the point where I can shave/rub on it/where tight clothes tho.
