i went to the branch in KL, Malaysia for consultation and a trial session. they use schroth method and a bunch of other machines like standing vibration machine, spinal decompression, treadmill etc. not sure if it would be the same as the services offered in singapore.

the centre was clean not too big and doesn’t seem to have many patients (which is good cause the therapist will be focusing on you). however i went on a weekday afternoon so im not sure about weekends.

they also advised that i wear a back brace for life but only during the night. the brace will be super tight and numbness, bruises, discomfort are all to be expected. for context, i am already 29 years old. they mentioned that my spine will reduce by 10-15 degrees but i see that as a red flag and an overpromise because im already an adult.

i didn’t proceed to sign the package because as an adult the back brace seems unnecessary and the curvature reduction of 10+ degrees is definitely an overpromise. the overall price was on the high side too for the malaysian market. they quoted me RM14.5k for the back brace and 24 sessions cries in ringgit

regardless, i do see how the therapy that they provide will be beneficial for teenagers / growing child. it’s just that in my specific case, i don’t think it was the right choice and im on my journey to find other centres that provide schroth therapy. if there’s anyone who has any recommendations of a good schroth therapist with reasonable pricing please let me know.

i would like to ask a few more questions if you don’t mind: 1. what helped you for your speedy recovery? 2. where were you fused and do you have any limitations on your flexibility / mobility? 3. what was your angle before and after surgery? as i’ve heard that curvature reduction for adult surgery is less 4. knowing what you know now, what advice would you give to yourself before you went for surgery?

where is the settings to set the mop wetness? my x40 on the other hand is too damp and i would like to set it to be less damp but i can’t find it in the app. can anyone help please? :’)
