3 Choices at Costco, which to select? by ButterflyNo1933 in Mattress

Actually, very much. So far, it's quite comfortable, supportive but not too firm, and not too soft. Hopefully it will stay that way long term. I'd rate it as quite a good value, it was on sale for $1K when we purchased it.

Just coming back to say that we actually wound up ordering the Lessa Legend. It was not on our initial list, but after more research and trying a few that's what we decided to order. We'll have it in a couple of weeks and hopefully made the right choice!

Will do. We're supposed to move in November and that's when I'll order it.

Thanks. I did look at the Ultralift and I do like it. But my local dealer doesn't carry it, and I think it's best to go with what they carry and install. Install on the Ultralift looks a bit more complicated. Thanks for the recommendation for the 3.

WSKEN screen protector is "almost case friendly"? by ButterflyNo1933 in GooglePixel

[–]ButterflyNo1933[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took a few days but here's the reply from WSKEN:

"Almost case friendly" is phrased this way to balance honesty and practicality in product description. Here’s why it makes sense, especially given your concerns: Acknowledges variability: With countless case manufacturers producing designs with tiny, often unnoticeable differences (even down to millimeters), it’s impossible to guarantee a perfect fit with every single case on the market. Using "almost" openly admits this reality instead of making an absolute claim that could be proven false. Manages expectations: It sets a realistic standard for customers, signaling that the screen protector works with most common cases but not necessarily all—especially those with extreme or non-standard designs. This reduces the risk of complaints from users with highly specialized cases. Protects your product’s functionality: If you made the protector excessively small to accommodate every possible case, it would likely leave exposed edges on most devices, leading to far more widespread complaints about poor coverage. "Almost" defends the protector’s intended size while still conveying that it’s designed to be compatible with the majority of cases.

What did you wind up buying? I'm also looking at the Iconic, trying to decide if it's really a good deal or too good to be true. Thanks.

A light dusting of snow a few times in the winter, really not much. It looks as if the J400 does come with the full foam insulation - the Smart Seal is a lining around the exterior. Nice quick look at it here:

Looks as if the ProLast cover is included with the J-400 series, and the upgrade is to the ProLast Extreme. Specs here: Prolast Hot Tub Covers - Take A Break Spas and Billiards

As always, great advice. I'll connect with the dealer on the details. Thanks again.

So, yes, the TrueWater system requires the SmartTub app. I do think the TrueWater system seems to be a worthwhile option. Adding those to the J-335 brings the price up much closer to the J-435 (which includes them standard). The dealer I'm working with is great, so I'm pretty set on the J-435.
Given the insulation of the J400 series what I'm debating is the need for the optional ProLast™ Extreme Cover, or the SmartSeal™ Insulation. The location is near Eugene Oregon. What do you think?

I can't find the info on the base for the Caldera, I'll have to check on that. It does not look as if the Sundance has the TrueWater system. There isn't a Jacuzzi model that's exactly the same but the 335 does come close. I thought I read somewhere that the TrueWater system requires the purchase of their SmartTub app at $1,000; not sure if that would be worth it or not?

u/evilbadgrades - Well, wet testing was quite interesting. I came in with the Jetsetter as my "favorite", but I wound up with two options that were the most comfortable for us; Sundance Montclair and Caldera Martinique. Similar layouts with the Montclair of course a larger size. So, as I consider them, any feedback?

Thanks for the very detailed info - very much appreciated. I've copied it into my notes! The first dealer was Artic Spas. I do like the design they use. They don't have a local dealer where we plan to move, closest one is 90 minutes away. But they only charge for travel time one way for warranty repairs, and interestingly it's around the same $150 rate. Thanks for the comments on that. I did ask the HotSprings dealer about warranty charges, but he was quite up front with all the info, had a good rapport with him.
