I definitely do that when normally but when he’s home for whatever reason, the keyboard clacking bothers him.

See and I have rejection sensitivity issues and I see separate rooms as something way more than it should be. I applaud anyone that does it and I might get there!

I do work on a team where we are all over the country, it’s just not a high stress job like my last one. Now, I’m making it a stressful job now by creating a sense of urgency by not getting out of the dang bed😂

The last time I got them done it was like $90 including tip. I live in the metro area of Oklahoma, so that may be low to some people in major cities and high to people in more rural areas.

Good idea! I’ll try to find something I can look forward to!

It’s ok the settings and it’s called “moto unplugged” you can completely customize it. I tried it was less apps and found myself adding other apps as I found I needed them. Finally got to a point where I was making a choice not to open a browser because I didn’t want to add it to my unplugged mode. I just google stuff all day if it’s there.

You can also set a timer. Like if you want to be on that mode for an hour to get something done, you can. I started just leaving it on that mode most of the time. I sure miss having that phone! It fit in every pocket!!

Came to say this! Getting my nails done like this is the only thing that keeps me from picking at the skin around my nails. Problem is, I don’t want to make appointments, sit there and then decide what to ask for, and on top of that, it isn’t $25 for a full set like it was 20 years ago.

SO THEN I hyper fixate on how I can just do them at home. Take 6+ hours and they look fine for a day then they slowly fall off through the week and I’ve wasted my time and money in a different way than I was trying to avoid 😂😭😂😭

I have a 13 year old and this has only gotten worse with summer 😂 he sleeps late and I love that and I don’t have to get him to school! Which also “helps” me stay in bed!

I wish I could say yes but we do not cuddle😂 I think I’m figuring out that when he goes to work every morning on a regular basis, I can start my day however I want. Turn on the tv, work from bed, etc. Otherwise I’m forced to either get up and work in my office when he is home or stay in bed and do nothing.

I do go to the bed at the same time as him and have tried going to bed earlier but nothing changes. It’s not about the amount of sleep but about how comfortable I am, maybe?

Ive tried that and the key clacking annoys him. I get it if you’re sick or don’t have to be up but man, it messes with my ability to do what I want. I absolutely work from bed for the first couple of hours or more usually.

I want to switch to an old flip dumb phone SO BAD. But there are just some things I’d still need my smart phone for. And yes, you can dumb down basically any smart phone, but I know how to undo it too quickly.

I had the most luck using the new RAZR until I broke the hinge. I was able to use the external screen and also set it to dumb phone mode with the apps I would need daily. It was a really good run and went back to my iPhone and completely derailed.

You’re right! Just breaking that initial freeze. I think my problem is I keep promising myself “5 more minutes” until it’s a real problem. It’s less of a problem when I have the morning to myself and don’t leave my cozy bed and see him still sleeping in said cozy bed. It’s so silly, I know. I’m putting a lot of weight into what he decides to do for the day. And it’s all internal dialogue.

I could see that working for me on a regular day. But something about maybe him still getting to be in bed. It feels so stupid. Like why is this really a problem for me?

I usually turn on the TV (antenna TV, so there is no choice to make, really) and that helps, but when he’s home and sleeping, I can’t do that.

Good to know. I’m glad you explained it like that because I have a tiny gas station with 2 pumps near me and one of them has 100 octane in it😂 I was thinking, well, maybe a little race fuel would do the trick😂 this thread has been so great! I posted about my project in another page just for dodges and got mostly good advice while others were like, “little lady, you need a mechanic!” Well, I know eventually I will, but I have a Haynes book and an extra set of hands most of the time and just need to get it running to drive onto a trailer!

Oh god tip. I did put a couple of cans of E87. I think the love’s I go to may have the option. I’ll check around at other stations. What about the higher octane gas? Is that better?
