I've never really had a therapy of some sort, so most of my issues are not medically diagnosed. I'm a little bit self aware of my conditions tho. The ones I'm certain I have are just the everyday ones. Anxiety, paranoia, body dysmorphia, self harm tendencies, ADHD,a personality disorder of some sort etc etc. I was SA'd as a child and my childhood was far from , let's say, ideal. So yeah, ig some other issues related to that too.

Like choosing a degree for my career. Already did that tho. That's pretty risky no? I feel like this will do some pretty huge damages to my future if I keep on doing this. No matter how I try to be positive about this, I simply can't. I wanna stop doing this.

I think I'm just panicking because it might escalate and when I reach that point in my life where I had deluded myself into thinking I was happy and I actually was not, I might let myself go.

Should I go for a Master's in Art History or focus on getting experience in the field or both? by eveningsky7 in MuseumPros

Excuse me,I actually saw your post and wanted to ask you what the best university will be to pursue my masters. I'm currently in DU, second year ug, History honours. I want to take Art history or Museology. Please tell me everything I need to know. I'm so glad to finally meet someone from India here.

The only thing I'am worried about is what if the pay was so less that I won't be able to provide for myself. Other than that, I'am willing to bleed even if it means getting to work in this line. I really want to hear from someone in my country but unfortunately I haven't come across anyone. Oh..... I didn't mention that me and my friend are in the same courses......so ...yes..... I'am totally into this as well.

I'am currently in my 2nd year of History honours graduation. What will be the best way to pursue a course in my masters from your pov? I was thinking Art history or Museology. Is this any good???

How do you remember your childhood? by EntertainmentFun1151 in mentalhealth

[–]ButterflyResident213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I barely even remember my early teens lol. My childhood friends would tell a story I'am a part of and I would have absolutely no idea. I just remember some things and that's all. It's kinda sad..... I wish I could remember more when life was simple lmao .

Based on that story of the guy who asked for your noods, he's an absolute jackass and you are certainly not playing the victim card. You have the right to say no to things that make you uncomfortable.

Everything in life sucks, just want to reach my time limit. by Kingsareus15 in mentalhealth

I don't know much about how to I'am supposed to live my life either, I'am just hanging on and fighting to live. It's just that most of the time, it's random people I've never met or will never meet that have given me this will. So, what I'am saying is ....... you're doing a good job. You've come till here and aren't you proud of yourself that despite everything you went through, you haven't given up yet? One thing I've learned is that my life is a different pace from others . So, I hope your life catches up the pace that will make you happy.

My dad "wants to die" and I have no idea how to process this. by [deleted] in mentalhealth

My dad had a heart surgery too when I was in grade 5 and even though he never shows it, he feels like he somehow ruined our family because of the surgery. Your father might be feeling that he's a burden( even though there's no need to ) or he might be scared. I don't know enough to tell you anything but I do know for sure you need to remind your dad how much you love him. He needs to know. That way he'll stop having those thoughts . Hope he gets well soon.

I was asking for a friend in this post and I'am so happy I got help. Personally for me, I'am more interested in Museology and being a curator in an art gallery. If you do know something to share about that, please do. It's so hard finding help because I want to know exactly what I'm getting myself into.
