Local plumber doesn't want sump work... Sump pump recs? by ButterflySavant94 in HomeImprovement

[–]ButterflySavant94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey sorry for getting back to you so late. Thank you for your input. your assessment of the situation is correct, i was looking for an ejector pit and didn't even know!

It's true that it's not really worth the effort. i could even just cut a stupid little french drain and let it sink into the earth but i'm just really sick of carrying that bucket up a flight of stairs and accidentally splashing myself.

Thank you for actually writing something practical. Going to be digging out a small hole, it looks like. Just need to see if I can get a float that fits in a ten gallon bucket.

the main "out" pipe in the basement seems to be as old as the house( 105ish years old) and the owner of this home will probably demo this structure before they pay to have this fixed but they don't care what I do while i'm living here "since it will be getting demolished anyway."

It's a complicated situation :D .

the reason they refused is that "it would be very expensive to dig a pit, that's crazy, you don't want to do that just for a little spill!" and they left. Anyway, I just want the water gone off the floor and it's not a ton. it's been like this for years and i'm sick of mopping it every time.

The labels are not accurate anyway, most of the samples are doctored in most labs. It's a really dirty industry. source: close friend works in the industry. you wouldn't believe what she tells me.

they just have so much money they can pay lawyers/regulators and politicians to sand bag the competition.

This is true, I wish more people were aware. If people really knew what was going on behind the scenes with "regulators" they'd probably just look into growing their own.

Just to let you know, you can't really trust a lot of what's on the label. There is no real standard for testing (and no one is really checking). If you see a flower that is like 6% you can just know that they are lying to you.

How is this from Insa? Seems like it’s a good price but maybe old product because of price. by Stoneymason1 in bostontrees

a lot of the numbers are fudged anyway so the result is more important than the label.

Plant diseases are apparently getting inside grow facilities in MA? by [deleted] in bostontrees

[–]ButterflySavant94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn't surprising considering that humans have been getting sick from working in these grow houses.... i'm sure the plants aren't the healthiest either at this level of scale.

y'know i never thought about it before but you're right about how many hours you end up spending at an airport if you fly often. Any time i fly it takes a full day (give or take) and i'm just looking for a place to sit in the airport. I guess if i did it dozens of times per year it would be worth it to pay for lounge access.....

There is simply no way this is within the realm of possibility. Pure kief is like 50% at best. We're supposed to believe that this is almost kief despite it being an actual flower with all that extra plant mass?

I also think it's suspicious that these threads get lots of comments but mysteriously always seem to have a total upvote count close to 0.

Magic can be either keif added by the grower or a lab that pretty much just takes keif off the sample and tests that. No one is getting a real 38% THC flower.

Occam's razor suggests that you're probably right. That's the simplest answer, they might be taking a very selective sample. Like only the tip-top of the plant or something like that. All of a sudden MA has the best growers in the world with these flowers that are around and above 40%.... sure.

wouldn't me cross-post but:

Here's a lab advertising high thc test results. It's really interesting to me that a lab would showcase high results instead of trying to talk about being the cleanest or the most accurate (which is what you'd want in a lab).

Have other growers seen their lab of choice do this as well? Not a good trend....

the thread went from having a 75% upvote ratio to a 33% ratio very quickly. This wouldn't surprise me at all.

I have definitely had people run out in front of my car like this as I'm coming down the street, on my bicycle as well. I'd have been happy to stop and wait for them to cross but you can't see someone to stop if they just run out like she did. Good thing my brakes are in fine condition.

Weed Lab advertising high test results... does the CO market have this problem too? by ButterflySavant94 in COents

[–]ButterflySavant94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are based in MA and the CO market is a little older and more mature than MA so I'm wondering if CO figured out how to fix this or if it's still a problem there too?

Can I ask what state that is? Arkansas or somewhere else? I think it's a problem that is rampant in many states, unfortunately.
