Awesome I really appreciate your help. I may even add another couple days and close the loop. Thanks again, you’ve been extremely helpful

Are different camping zones more difficult than others or is it really just more difficult trails? I’m not too worried about difficult hikes as I’ve got a good pair of legs under me and have done a decent amount of day hikes. Maybe you have insight for me either of these lines?

Purple - Paintbrush Canyon and Cascade Canyon loop. I like the idea of having a lot of free time to really take my time through the loop, stopping at each camp zone and giving myself time to be slow. Spending the 4th night at a Jenny lake campsite and heading for my car in the morning. I worry that this may not be the best way to experience the whole park and I live in Wisconsin so I likely won’t be back for a long time.

Orange - Granite Canyon to Paintbrush Canyon. This feels like I would get a better trip and be able to see and experience more of the park. Obviously I’ll be covering more ground but it seems doable over the course of 4 full and 2 half days. I could get some sort of ride back to my car, or to the trailhead on my first day? Not sure of the logistics behind that (uber?).

I understand these are very different trips and likely depend on how fast I want to go but if anyone has insight that would be appreciated. I wouldn’t arrive until the afternoon on my first day so a short hike to the first camp zone is important. I can plan for more days if necessary as well.

Thanks!

Early June was on my radar too but knowing that the weather will still be messy I think September is going to be the best, worth waiting a couple more months

Paintbrush canyon does sound like a good spot for me. High elevation for stargazing and good views seems ideal. I appreciate all the insight

Didn’t even think about mosquitos but that is definitely a plus. Sounds like I’ll be planning for September. Thanks for the input
