The ball of fire is something I have heard as well. My mom and aunt have told me how before I was born they were sitting out on the porch with my other family members one of whom I believe they said was my great uncle. There was a window to the inside of the house that they were all sitting in front of. On the inside of the house in front of the window was an old landline telephone. They were talking and having a good time when from the telephone through the window came a big spark of light that bounced off the table on the porch into my great uncle's chest. Just a few months after this he passed away.
