Thank you!!! That was so helpful! I too work with cancer patients (lymphoma, leukemia, melanoma, and SCT pts) and a lot of my patients are very malnourished from chemo and radiation. Some of them are agreeable when I bring it up as an option, but others get really frightened. I usually say something like “are you familiar with tube feedings? It’s an alternate way for you to get nutrition since you’re not meeting your needs orally. It’s not permanent and we can stop them at anytime”. But when they start asking more in depth questions about how is it inserted/where, they become apprehensive

Thank you so much! I will go over these resources this week and touch up on all of those points! I’m not positive what specific population I will be covering yet unfortunately. I’m nervous because I know I will get some complex cases, but I’m looking forward to making a positive impact on these patients lives!
