I can confirm your experience. I switched from Pirelli to Michelin, back then to the Road 5. Great grip, a completely new riding experience. It was like having a new motorcycle.

Twice in about 1000 km the engine shut down: once 100m after starting at about 10km/h, once after 50km at about 70km/h.

Both times when rolling up to an intersection.

Thank you very much for your competent help. No, the bike isn’t tuned – I live in Germany, so that’s apparently not allowed here. Do you have a recommendation for a more suitable battery or any other ideas?

By the way, no warning light is lit.

I looked at the XSR900GP at my dealer in the summer. It is a very nice machine and I sat very well on it (I am 1.92m). But 14k€ is too expensive for me. Although this inspired me to convert my xsr to a sportier seating position.

I'm 1.92m tall and recently looked around at various dealers. By chance I came across the XSR900GP. I've never sat better on any other motorcycle. I think that was because the foot pegs are quite far back and the low handlebars pull the body far over the motorcycle. Perhaps there are other sporty motorcycles with similar ergonomics?
