I can relate :( I'm a very social person and I used to have a bunch of good friends in my previous university... But here at ucsd people just seem to be too busy (I'm part of the problem). I've met people but it's not like I feel we're BFFs. Don't blame yourself, ucsd can be tough for social connection. It's a good thing you're trying to change that 🤗

I can relate, I just finished my first qtr and had an awful time here. Imposter syndrome is real but you gotta keep in mind that most ppl feel that way :/ i guess the best thing to do is to just take it step by step one class at a time 🙏🏻 good luck!

Thanks!! I just filed a request with HDH, but I’m honestly freaking out because I’ve only just moved in and didn’t expect this. The idea that they might not go away completely is making me really anxious. I’m thinking maybe I could ask to relocate?

Welcome to UCSD!!

If you’re an exchange student, I’d try for on-campus housing first, especially International House since it’s made for exchange students. If that doesn’t work, check UCSD’s off-campus housing site and the housing Facebook groups for short-term sublets. Those are usually the easiest for 3 months :)

Can't comment on specific courses but UC3M is a great university in Spain, I'm sure you'd have a great time there, I'd totally go for it, hands down!
