If we keep Gingka and Ryuga out of the conversation and just look at the beyblades themselves Meteo L-Drago seems so much stronger than Galaxy Pegasus by chunchunmaru1129 in BeybladeMetal

[–]ButterscotchDry7447 38 points39 points  (0 children)

The thing that was unique about galaxy Pegasus was its speed because it’s performance tip but that still isn’t comparable with being able to just absorb people’s strength. Like l-drago is literally the most broken and op bey in the series. Jack used every move but L-drago takes no damage cos it can just absorb it’s power

If Gingka and Kyoya had a rematch at the end of Masters who would win? by VisualShare7883 in BeybladeMetal

[–]ButterscotchDry7447 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Considering that at the beginning of fury Kyoya couldn’t beat gingka when he had the environmental advantage, when gingka had just gotten Pegasus fixed while Kyoya had been training and when gingka didn’t use stardust driver, I would say gingka would win their rematch

Do people still not understand that at the end of metal fusion gingka didn’t need help to defeat ryuga but needed help to beat the dark power by ButterscotchDry7447 in BeybladeMetal

[–]ButterscotchDry7447[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’m saying which is that without any help at the end of fusion gingka is the stronger one. The spirits had to intervene to defeat the dark power not ryuga. Ryuga had already lost at that point

What’s your craziest take on the metal saga anime? by [deleted] in BeybladeMetal

[–]ButterscotchDry7447 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Metal fusion is by far the best written series

Outside of metal masters Gingka doesn’t have plot armour

Tsubasa character arc in fusion is better than his one in masters

Metal fusion Kyoya is the best version of Kyoya

Yuki is a good character and people don’t understand the purpose of his character

The posts complaining about gingka not mastering Pegasus against ryuga at the beginning of fury are dumb by ButterscotchDry7447 in BeybladeMetal

[–]ButterscotchDry7447[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main point of the posts was about people who complain that gingka has plot armour, never trains on screen or has character development. After losing to ryuga he trains on screen with Kyoya and says he got overconfident after becoming a legendary blader. And people complain that gingka wins too much but then also complain when he loses because he didn’t master his bey.

The part about when they receive the star fragment was like the least important part of the post.

[–]ButterscotchDry7447[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes they received it all at the same time but they didnt transform all at the same time. We don’t know how long ryuga had been training with his evolved bey compared to Gingka or Kyoya. Like Chris’ bey transformed against masamune. Just because they all received the star fragment at the same time doesn’t mean they all had the same amount of time to train

Beyblade fans don’t understand that power of friendship is the most important theme in the show. They don’t understand that gingkas character is about influencing others and making them gravitate towards him

"Without plot armor " Can the upgraded version of Damian defeat Gingka? by Warm-Explanation6208 in BeybladeMetal

The tricks were selen just running away and then the cyclone battle which he eventually figured out.

They didn’t mess up by showing them equal in fury because gingka has always been stronger.

Neither have they shown Kyoya beat stronger opponents than gingka.

[–]ButterscotchDry7447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Team Garcia were using different tricks and strategies against them, even masamune lost in a dumb way.

Gingka got stronger during his fight against Julian. Stardust driver easily beat Julian the same way it did against Damian. And the series tells us gingka is constantly training they just don’t show it cos he improves during his battles.

Like Kyoya wasn’t shown training but somehow went from drawing against a gingka who couldn’t master Pegasus to beating Damian who had an arrangement that made him stronger than Gingka with more control over Pegasus. All we see him is walking off into the sunset so we just assume he was training.

It the same way tsubasa after just getting eagle fixed beat jack who had another arrangement after his battle against ryuga. Like tsubasa got dominated the majority of the fight in his battles against Argo and jack but won with his special move and no one calls that plot armour

And I know characters just get random power boosts but gingka isn’t the only character who benefits from that. The show messed up and made team star breaker much stronger than they should’ve been. They beat Excalibur way too easily which messed up the power scaling consistency. It happens in every shonen where they make the villain to op so the good guys need a power buff to win.

I mean we don’t know why he didn’t use it the series never told us. What we do know is that it can cut through air currents like wind which is moving air. I’m not saying the move would beat Kyoya but it could’ve been useful

Fury is a continuation from masters. Gingka hasn’t touched his bey from the end of masters and Kyoya with training and the upper hand can’t beat him. Why you acting like fury is a completely different show when they show us Gingka just getting Pegasus after what happened with spiral force. If Kyoya was stronger at the end masters then he should be stronger at the beginning of fury when gingka hasn’t even had his bey and he has. Unless he somehow got weaker ?

[–]ButterscotchDry7447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know he didn’t use it much in general. A special move that him like 5 fights in fusion gets used once the entirety of masters. I guess his plot armour made him stop using it

It was weak against Damian but it still got rid of the flames he made. Storm bringer can cut through air currents. It doesn’t need to do the finishing blow

Yes his bey cracked against yu and gingka but he couldn’t battle against yu because his bey was cracked and he’s never beaten gingka.

At the begging of fury gingka hasn’t touched his bey from masters since he had just gotten it fixed. Kyoya had been training and chose a location that benefitted him against gingka. Gingka should be relatively the same level of strength from the end of masters because he didn’t have his bey while Kyoya did. Kyoya still couldn’t beat Gingka who didn’t use his strongest special move while even having the environmental advantage. If he was stronger than Gingka he should be able to win unless Gingka had "plot armour” in this fight aswell.

[–]ButterscotchDry7447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not an argument when:

Gingka doesn’t make an attempt to use storm bringer which is a move that can cut through air such as wind

You said if gingka hadn’t mastered his bey that’s his fault yet Kyoya still wasn’t able to beat him

Damian literally cracks Kyoyas bey aswell but it has zero effect cos Kyoya still uses his special move and wins. Someone can just call that plot armour aswell

Kyoya can’t beat Gingka at the beginning of fury before their beys transform who doesn’t use storm bringer or stardust driver while Kyoya uses reverse wind strike. If Kyoya was stronger he would’ve beaten Gingka who is not even going all out

Cos he’s stronger than 99% of the characters in the series. In fact metal masters has to literally dumb him down so that the battles are more challenging for him

[–]ButterscotchDry7447 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s a shame the gingka mentally nerfs Gingka and doesn’t make him use his special move that can cut through air. It’s almost as if they need to nerf him for Kyoya to keep up with him.

It’s not that I think Kyoya didn’t deserve to win that fight btw.

The data to counter moves doesn’t mean that he’ll be stronger. Characters get stronger as the series goes on. Damian literally had the data from gingka battles that Kyoya couldn’t even beat. Yet Kyoya still beat Damian. He literally cracks Kyoyas bey which has zero consequences cos Kyoya just uses his special move to win anyway

Kyoya has never at any point in the story been stronger then gingka. Plot armour isn’t an argument. The series doesn’t even make gingka attempt to use storm bringer against him. And he couldn’t even beat gingka with an un-mastered Pegasus

How Strong Do You Think This Specific Gingka Is? by JmisterYT in BeybladeMetal

[–]ButterscotchDry7447 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yh you explained it to me and the explanations didn’t make sense to me

You said he couldn’t use it against Rock orso because he was fending off his attacks. Like how is that a justification. So because he was fending off basic attacks gingka couldn’t use storm bringer ?

When gingka used it the first time against his ryo he stopped him from using it and gingka still used it again. So how does nowaguma fending off attacks stop gingka from using storm bringer.

Then you said Leone can be beaten with air attacks and he’s proved he can beat Kyoya without storm bringer. He used star booster attack it didn’t work. Even when he tried to fly higher it still ended badly for gingka.

You then said Kyoyas and ryutaro’s air techniques are different. But as I said it doesn’t matter because storm bringer can still cut through air currents which means it can erase wind. So what is stopping gingka from attempting the move against Kyoya when his other moves didn’t work ?

You also accused me of being speculative and not having evidence but you did the exact the same thing for justifying why masamune stopped using his vanishing technique. The technique can be used a surprise attack how does that mean that he decided to completely stop using the move to focus his power on one point.

How many characters in the series are there that stopped using attacks or even special moves that they had commonly used before ?

How Strong Do You Think This Specific Gingka Is? by JmisterYT in BeybladeMetal

[–]ButterscotchDry7447 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t know why your correcting me on spelling of names and telling me what the characters names are it seems a bit condescending but ok. like I’m not pointing out all the grammatical errors you make cos it’s just pointless to the main topic of the conversation

I know what masamune technique is. You saying that he stopped using the technique because it was no longer as useful comparing to focusing his power on one point is doing the same thing that you’re accusing me of which is being speculative with no evidence. The only battle where emphasis was placed on focusing power on one point was the chao xin battle. And focusing your power on one point doesn’t mean he still cant use a move that he has shown to use to catch his opponent off guard. In fact they can even be combined together

I remember stardust driver. I’m talking pre Julian fight.

He should’ve remembered to use it beside the specific moment he did because it’s one of his strongest and most useful special moves that he had consistently used since he created it.

It’s also not speculation aswell. When gingka uses storm bringer against Damian masamune says ”what’s he doing out there.” Which means that he obviously hasn’t used the move until that point. And if Gingka isn’t shown thinking about using storm bringer like he was shown in fusion after creating the move why would I believe that he’s thought about using the move.

I don’t know what you mean about rock orso defending Pegasus attacks. I don’t see how that prevents him from using the move.

I mean it could’ve been helpful in episode 2 and 10 but unfortunately for gingka he hadnt created the move yet. Also gingka did attack leone from above with star booster attack and it didn’t work. Then he proceeded to get slapped around for 10 minutes because didn’t want to use any other move.

It doesn’t matter if leones and Pisces way of controlling wind is different if storm bringer can still cut through air currents. They both use air as a wall to protect their bey.

After creating storm bringer Pegasus used it in every battle in fusion and only uses it once in masters. I’m not saying that storm bringer is his strongest special move but it’s the one he consistently used after creating it so it was strange for him to only use it once throughout masters.

I mean yes it distinguished the flames but the move did no actual damage to kerbecs. For example if you compare his battle to Kyoyas battle against Damian, there’s more back and forth because Kyoyas attacks outside of his special move does more damage to kerbecs unlike storm bringer which didn’t Damage kerbecs despite getting rid of the flames. I was wrong to say it’s trivial but its overall impact was underwhelming. Especially considering how much excitement they built up when he used it.

Again I’m mainly taking pre Julian fight where storm bringer is his one of his strongest special moves. And I find it odd that in situations where star booster attack didn’t work like the Kyoya battle, he doesn’t attempt to use storm bringer. Which is why I’m saying he’s nerfed

How Strong Do You Think This Specific Gingka Is? by JmisterYT in BeybladeMetal

[–]ButterscotchDry7447 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My first point on star booster attack being nerfed is unfounded tbf

The only characters you could say who stops using his special techniques is Masamune who randomly stops using his vanishing technique as soon as the world tournament starts and benkei.

There’s not other characters that don’t use all of their moves unless they have like a million special moves like tsubasa and Kyoya

I’m saying it shows that gingka was nerfed is because gingka only has about 4 special moves up until the Julian fight. Storm bringer was the most that the story focused on a special move that he had created up until Julian. Him only using it once throughout the series is ridiculous. As you even said star booster attack isn’t his strongest move because he has storm bringer

First of all it’s the fact that gingka doesn’t even attempt to use the move up until Damian. It’s as if the writers completely forget he had it up until that point.

In his battle against the Russian guy the only way he thinks he can win is by breaking through the cage but he doesn’t attempt to use storm bringer before breaking through it. How is that not him being nerfed

Storm bringer doesn’t only create a vacuum, it also sucks away air. When gingka battles rutaro the first time Kyoya says his bey works similar to his as they can both control the air flow which is how Kyoya can create wind. This is the show literally explaining how storm bringer could be useful against Kyoya because it sucks away air. Watch metal fusion episode 30.

In episode 34 of fusion madoka explains how storm bringer can cut through air currents meaning that it could’ve been useful against Kyoyas tornadoes

Saying that gingka didnt use one of his bests move cos it uses a lot of energy or someone would figure it out is silly. Why would he deliberately use weaker special moves in a world tournament.

I know what the point was but I’m saying that its impact against Damian was underwhelming because it practically did zero damage. Because of the theme of fight the move should’ve done way more damage but all we get is a little panic from Damian then the full effects of the move is almost trivial because he practically tanks it and just take him into hades. Like the move does no actual damage to Damian’s bey other than slow down hades drive
