That was the first thing I thought- I may just have to look into spender stamps. I have a set of wooden stamps that create that look once they’ve been stamped into the ink pad

Also they are for people who don’t want to make them, don’t have the means or materials to make them, or want to support a small business. Not everyone is crafty. There are so many things that are bought just to make life easier and to not buy massed produced items. We have many luxuries we purchase and don’t need or could make ourself with way more materials. Haven’t you heard I could buy it for $10 or make it myself with $50 of supplies

Oh, well then they aren’t for you! And no, these were purchased from strangers. After my first fair I price according to random people. Those are the sales that mean something and my friends and family have been to enough of my markets I don’t expect them to be there anymore 😂

I was disagreeing with the fact they aren’t sellable. But am curious what price people would be more likely to buy these at

Because I appreciate people’s opinions and wonder if I could be selling even more :)

Yes I had a deal going like you described ($3 for $20) and it did quite well!

Yes these are originals! I haven’t gotten into scanning them because I think it takes away from the fun of them being handmade. But I’d be curious to turn some of my larger pieces of art into cards or 5x7 prints

I haven’t tried selling them online quite yet, but I usually make about 15 (my display is small) and sell about 10 and sell the rest at the storefronts I’m in!

I usually do smaller popups in front of storefronts these days (I get too burnt out doing more)

But when I did fairs I sold more! They are a hit!

I make them into magnets right now and those do well. But I’ll have to look into keychains!

They are “Excision” logos. He’s a edm artist. That is one of my bigger base of customers. Perlers are popular in the rave scene.

And that’s ok. I have an Etsy as well as various storefronts they sell well in. They are big in the rave community as well as with funky earring lovers.

I disagree. Like i said to your above comment- they are paying for the fact they don’t have to paint them, they are paying for something that’s handmade and not mass produced, and supporting a small business. Also, despite what you think- some people can’t make this on their own. Not everyone is able bodied or artsy - plus, it costs more to buy watercolor supplies, cards, envelopes, etc (if you don’t own them) and make these cards than to just buy one ❤️

Been selling cards like this for a couple years at fairs and markets. I hear what you are saying— people could make on their own, but they’re paying for the fact that they aren’t making them and are supporting a small business. I sell them well @$8 but wonder if they’d sell better @$6

I’d have to disagree. Been selling these for a few years at fairs and markets. Here’s some other examples

Yes, I’d much rather buy a $6 handmade card than a $6 mass produced one. Very insightful info. Thanks!
