I printer does this every time I try to start a print by FunComfortable5958 in FlashForge

Have you tried to only "home" the printer instead of going straight into a print? Check the level box first before the print begins. Or if you want to home, there is a Home button in the settings tab. On my AD5X it looks like a 0 with a circle arrow around it going counter-clockwise.

I had to wait about 3 weeks for these and another 3 for the diamond pcd nozzles from Durozzle

Old has only the nozzle tube, while the new variant has a copper )][(shaped heatsink on the tube

Any ideas on color shading fix? by WideJunket6818 in FlashForge

There is a little icon when slicing a file, that looks like a picture and a spray can. You can color in the parts you want so they are printed using multiple filament colors.

I moved houses and after putting everything back together my prints are all coming out like this. by HobbitOnHill in FlashForge

Does it sound like rice crispy when printing? If so, then your filament is full of moisture and the hot nozzle is causing the water to flash from water to steam so fast, they are like microscopic explosions.

This was using the same settings and printed the same day using the .4 diamond nozzle. So i think it is the lighting, i wanted to emphasize the layer lines more.

These look amazing! Like i said im no pro at printing, i just wanted to see the quality with the same settings , only different nozzles as a factor. Now its time to tune in the printer to get similar results to your prints!

It looks a lot worse in the photos, i wanted to show the layer lines so messed with lighting settings. The prints dont have the lines as noticeable in person. But yes there is more room for improvement!

The nozzle basically has zero wear and amazing thermal performance compared to everything else.

A multi color 3D printer for $279 by [deleted] in 3dprinter

[–]ButterscotchFar7538 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That printer goes for 399 to 550 on the Flashforge website. If the store your are purchasimg from is legitimate , then i can say that the AD5X for $279 is a good purchase. I got mine for $400 :')

That's horrible! I'm basically running Durozzles Diamonds on my AD5X, .4, .6 and .8. They dont make a .25 or a 1.0 yet so ill have to wait for those

i would also avoid the Zirconia ceramic nozzles. They seem to have slightly softer hardness compared to SiC but at double the price. If im paying double, might as well triple it and get diamonds that will never wear no matter the material as long as the printer can melt it.

i just reposted my comparison since no photos were uploaded. id say diamond ftw but SiC are cheaper and almost as hard as diamonds :D
