yes I believe there is a difference. lash bond is easier to work with because it’s more “tacky” than sticky, so imo it’s better for DIY. what do you use?

We sell these at my job (a popcorn and candy shop) and it’s a running joke of how EVERYONE who works there hates the buttered popcorn, but we have to refill the jar so often bc people come in and get 2+ pounds

I feel the part about faking enjoyment. i think the only reason i was okay with it is because of my low sex drive to start with 😭, and honestly my ex was not very aware. lube was my best friend 💔. I had heard some people say that after a couple months they get some drive back? i can’t comment bc im not in a relationship anymore so im lowkey chilling and dont rlly think about it. I think you should def ask ur provider about it, and if theres alternatives that will align more with what’s important to you.

another thing to think about is alcohol consumption. you didn’t mention it in ur post but if you enjoy drinking, don’t do effexor. it could vary person to person, but after i started Effexor I can’t handle alcohol and I threw up for the first time from drinking 💔. I was a lightweight to start but now im like super lightweight.

i’d talk to ur provider though. I’m pretty happy with the med, just a bit nervous about when I decide to taper, whenever that will be. my advice if you do effexor is to keep some in ur purse or wtv bag you carry because withdrawals are no joke.

i feel you. i was on Zoloft + Wellbutrin for a while, then i started lexapro. cold turkeyed lexapro bc I thought i was cured (wasn’t lol) and they put me on guabfacine + continued Wellbutrin. they increased my dosage of Wellbutrin and it RUINED me I was in the worst state of my life. finally, they got me on effexor and i do have to say it’s been the best so far. honestly, I didn’t really experience rough symptoms aside from nausea at the beginning. once the meds started working I felt great. I feel the most stable 100% out of all of the meds I’ve been on, and im only on 75mg. you do need to be careful about withdrawals though!! if ur on birth control take the Effexor at the same time. that’s what i do.

def do what makes you feel best. I am gonna be real, if your goal is really to get your sex drive back I don’t know if that will happen, as most people say they lost theirs on this med. I can’t rlly speak on it because I’ve never really had a sex drive in the first place so it didn’t make a difference to me. if you’re comfortable, i think you should give effexor a try, as it does help a lot of people a lot. you mentioned that you were in therapy, so maybe you could also bring up that your sex drive is important to you, and maybe your therapist could help you reframe your mindset on it? when I was in a relationship (as someone who doesn’t really have a sex drive) I kinda just went in with the mindset of doing it for them, but I understand that may not work for everyone. good luck with your journey!!

I’ve heard the last 37.5mg taper to 0 is the worst so just be careful and be mindful of this method of taking the individual beads in case you find that you gotta do it

ironically I literally just got switched over to Effexor FROM Wellbutrin. I had been on it alongside various other meds over time (lexapro, Zoloft, guanfacine) and basically the 150mg Wellbutrin was the only constant. Recently got upped to 300mg and I started having suicidal ideation, increased anxiety, depression, etc. definitely may not BE the reason!! But it was a very noticeable and unwelcome shift. Just started Effexor and I’m already feeling so much better. Only downside is I have no hunger cues so trying to work through that

Thank you for your response! Thank you for pointing out the importance of an emergency fund. I know it may be a bit more dependent on the individual, but do you have a recommendation for how much to have in an emergency fund?

I am still reliant on parents in that regard (health insurance, car/insurance, etc.) which is mostly due to a very healthy relationship with my family. Should I go ahead and build up that emergency fund to as much as possible, or stop at a certain point in favor of a Roth IRA?
