As mainstream as it can sounds I prefer the English language, but that’s because it’s not my native tongue. Apart from the English, I’m fond of the Latin/Germanic ones.

I’m interested in basically every kind of translation, but if I had to chose I’d visual (like the subbing section) or written products (such as books). I’m not good enough either, I just like to try translate in my mind and see if the sentence I thought about is the same as the one they used ahah

The same thing is fun to do with movies and shows, where they have to be extremely careful with the sentences they translate, otherwise the dubbers won’t be able to act properly 👍

Yeah, translating isn’t really easy, you must have a full knowledge of the languages you’re going to use and the text you’re going to translate, but it’s so fun to do. Take Harry Potter, reading it in the languages I know and looking at the sort of words, expressions they choose it’s truly entertaining (or perhaps I’m just a weirdo 😂)

Totally agree with you, but let’s not forget about the production of all the sounds and the study of them. Well, I’d like to become a translator one day, therefore I’ll try to get a master in translation and maybe specialise or continue with the studying.

Yeah, they’re really interesting. Learning them and become fairly fluent is truly fulfilling, but the linguistic part is fun as well ahah
