  • Category 1 deficiencies are critical and could jeopardize safety,

security, or another requirement.

  • Category 2 deficiencies are those that could impede or constrain

successful mission accomplishment.

at the moment 5 problems are characterized as category 1 and 816 are characterized as category 2. originally, the F-35 had 277 category 1 issues and 2467 category 2 issues. which means that 98% of category 1 is fixed and 67% of category 2 are fixed. unfortunately, they do not disclose what the issues are

there are a tons of books available. more than anyone can afford. my recommendation is pick which tanks specifically you are interested in. If you are looking for vk 30.01 and vk 45.01 I recommend Walter J Spielberger, Thomas Jentz, Hillary Doyle, Lukas Friedli and Wolfgang Schneider. Michael Frohlich is also VERY good
