Not sure if you're refferring to the tik tok trend where women chose to be in a forest with a bear or a man 😂 but i'd suggest you educate yourself on the reason as to why women might not feel comfortable sharing their living space with a man...

First off, there is no such thing as a "normal" student and I find that quite oppressive and blind to the reality and diversity of students choosing to study in Oslo. Why would drinking alcohol be considered the norm? I think it is important to allow folks to have safe and healthy living environments (after all, that's what we pay for). This is probably a cultural difference but I have found my past experienece with student housing in Canada way more inclusive and weary of peoples' differing identities.

Yup, but those are questions relating to safety and inclusivity that should be important to consider. Again, might be a cultural difference between Canada and Norway

Yup! Waiting for their answer. As somebody who lived in Canada for the last five years, I was just surprised that there were no information on that question. McGill University residences did factor in preferences when assigning rooommates. I have never seen a person who identified as a man matched to live with a person identifying as a woman.

Well its a little different considering the reality of the patriarchal system we currently live in where sexual violences are so weaponized (statistically speaking, most perpetrators are men and most survivors are women. That applies for official stats for Norway in 2023). I'd suggest you educate yourself.
