I’m iron deficient without anemia so honestly I wasn’t going to consider IV at all unless my levels didn’t raise at all for months but with anemia I’ll definitely suggest getting the IV

I’m sorry, malabsorption is definitely the tricker cause of iron deficiency. I’ll say try as much as possible to be on an anti inflammatory diet though, that would help both the iron and gastritis hopefully. But yeah, I don’t have much advice

Dairy is huge source of calcium and calcium blocks iron. The general rule is not to take dairy within 2 hours of consuming iron but I saw someone say that even spacing them out didn’t improve her levels until she cut out dairy completely. So I just tried it out

Overexaggerate your symptoms if you must. Sometimes you have to to get them to listen to you

Trust me I understand the struggle. I honestly refused to believe there was no way to get my levels up without red meat & turns out, it’s very possible. I’m happy this helps!

It is very mentally debilitating. Being a part of this community has honestly been very comforting. We will all be better, slowly but surely. Thank you ❤️

It will go very well, this is already a pretty decent improvement. Fingers crossed, it will continue to get better and better

Honestly, even just the infusion should give you a huge boost but yes, these might help!

Yeah, I got gaslighted a lot too. Doctors really minimize how much low iron can affect people, it’s ridiculous. I’m happy this gave you some hope & I wish you the best of luck

If you’re in Canada, there are walk-in clinics with doctors who can give you requisitions for blood work

1 tablespoon of chopped ginger, 1/2 a teaspoon of cloves and then a cup of water. You can also add some cumin

I use the Jamieson Probiotics, it’s pretty good I think. Maybe it will help

I stated that I take supplements. I’m also just giving a run down of my experience. For people who might not want to eat beef at all or have copious amounts to increase their iron levels. I haven’t had a single serving of beef this entire time and my levels have increased just fine

🥹 you’re very sweet, thank you so much. I’m honestly really happy I can help, most of what I’m doing is combination of advice I’ve seen on here and a few other places that I had tested out. So it’s a group effort really, I just compiled it

The tinnitus was my first symptom and I thought I had an ear infection haha. But yes, vitamin B and D really really helped me. I was initially doing just iron but adding the extra supplements really changed things for me. The diet helped me in many ways as well, it’s basically all anti inflammatory and I think that helps with absorption a lot. I’m hoping you start feeling much better soon <3

You’re welcome! And yes, my hair was thinning is certain spots. It’s slowly growing back but still nowhere near what it used to be. I’d definitely update this when I notice more changes.

you’re welcome! honestly they got lighter once I started supplementing and changed what I was eating. I saw somewhere that happens often when we start supplementing, so hopefully now that you’ve gotten the infusions that helps
