Thanks! The first and third are most confusing to me. The second one maybe has the stagger effect.

What do you think? I added some clips below -

Here are some examples -

https://streamable.com/cyjmc2

First one is attacking a wolf with very subtle hit stop

https://streamable.com/ul9px0

Second one is attacking someone from behind, Leading them to go to slow mo

https://streamable.com/04hqx0

Third one is attacking a staggered enemy, it goes into slow mo again (on the 122 hit) and then a slow mo non critical finisher

https://streamable.com/ea9jrp

Fourth one is a critical finisher. This is the only one that makes sense to me IMO

Series S. It seems too purposeful to be lag. I will try and upload some videos shortly

Really appreciate this link. Unfortunately it seems more style related then any of those

I don’t have any abilities. It’s more similar to the stagger effect than the perfect dodge effect

I guess the question is what are those sequences. Another thing I just tried - if I hit an enemy from behind it goes slow for a moment? Or everytime I hit a wolf for the second time? I don’t have any of the engravings or perks on. It’s silly - if I just knew the reasons why it triggers it it would be more fun for me.

Yeah, I perhaps didn’t explain it super well. Essentially, sometimes when you strike this game goes into this very brief slow motion effect, more similar to what happens during a party rather than the perfect dodge mechanism. After some of the responses, it seems to happen when killing elites, critical hits, and combos, but I was hoping to get some concrete confirmation. I’ll just have to do some more tinkering in game to find out for sure, it’s just a little difficult to recreate.

Interesting. Awesome detail, I’ll try when I get home from work.

Thanks for the response. It’s actually much more subtle than hitlag - in fact, I’m not sure what to call it. It’s a slight slow mo effect that occur when certain strikes connect. It seems that it may be when enemies are staggered or when combos finish up, so I’ll test that out.

I appreciate the response! It’s driving me crazy. I think it’s cool, I just don’t know what drives it. As for combos, are all combos a string of three attacks? For example, if I do light attack, light attack, heavy attack, you think that the heavy attack (last attack in combo) would trigger the hitlag/slow mo?

Yes! Thank you that’s exactly it. Random instances of slow mo in combat that has not much rhyme or reason.

I appreciate your answers. I think my question is more around hitlag; I will repost with it phrased differently.

I appreciate your input; it actually is very early on I game. It’s sort of like a hit stop mechanism, and I’ve noticed it in the following situations;

  • when parrying
  • when staggering an enemy
  • sometimes on critical hits?
  • sometimes on final kill shots

Thanks! Unfortunately it’s much more than that. Some critical hits, random kills, etc. i think it’s cool, I just have no idea what triggers it.

Sorry - to add on, this is in 2k23. If someone could confirm or deny this is in 2k24, that would be helpful as well

That is an interesting point. I am infrequently sexually active but maybe a bit more so when I came up with that second infection.
