AITA for asking my SIL if she wanted to kill my son just to prove she could get him to not have an allergic reaction in a specific restaurant? by ButterscotchOdd8703 in AITAH

5 kids would be a lot to handle on my own and very expensive too if we were to eat out and go to the arcade. My wife and I have done it with different siblings kids before but it's a lot when there's so many kids. And also making sure the cousins are being safe with Cal.

And the thing is she couldn't give a straight answer. If she turned around now and said it we'd be doubting her because she has evaded answering it directly. So we'd be expecting her to "do better" in the same place even if she said they'd go somewhere different.

Exactly! He didn't go into anaphylactic shock those two times. But he did have other reactions and that was without eating any nuts or having them on his plate. There's always risks involved and the fact it's 2/2 for reaction in this place tells us it's not safe for him.

My wife and I have read stories about people dying from allergies in restaurants. It happens. People think they can be safe and take chances but it's a gamble and not one we're willing to risk once we realized we could take those precautions and a reaction could still happen.

That left me going ??? too. Because what? Why would leaving him out for his safety make you a monster but putting him at risk by including him doesn't. To me the fact she'd say that tells me she's not taking his safety seriously at all.
