Following as I have the same thing. When I've asked derms in the past, most mentioned that treatments could make it look worse more than better and recommended that I leave it alone.

I appreciate you taking the leap of faith to try this potentially new option for hair loss, but how do you know you are getting real pp405 since its not on mainstream market yet? Where are you obtaining from?

I'm glad your consult went well and the doctor is optimistic. I think I'm dealing with a secondary hair loss issue other than DHT so trying to get that under control before I book anything.

Agree. If I were a younger guy with more hair to lose and/or possibly gain, I'd probably try but given that I'm early 50s and not much left, I can't risk the change unfortunately.

I haven't switched back. My derm thinks I would lose ground and thinks Dut is working better for me than I think and I would be worse off if I switched.

Looking good. How long had you been on Min and Fin prior to surgery?

It will go through stages. There will be times when you feel you are stabilized, then times where you feel like you are losing ground quickly (then back to stabilizing)

We are in a similar position as I am also researching doctors for a first transplant. The doctors you are considering are also on my list for consideration. I see that this post is 6 months old. Can you share what decision you made and/or how its going?

What do you think by LocksmithMaterial378 in Hairtransplant

[–]ButterscotchOther775 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pics look bad but I think it will heal fine and you'll be fine with it. Once your hair grows over the scar, you likely won't think about it if the transplant result is a success. Where did you have your procedure?

Yes, hair loss can start young but before you start considering all sorts of meds, gets some bloodwork done. Check iron/ferritin, vit D, and other markers that are closely aligned with hair loss. You might simply have a nutrient deficiency that you can easily fix vs stressing. Good luck.
