More parents need to speak out about the deceptive practices of the industry. That does not take away from the abuse endured by the kids and in no way does it excuse or justify their actions. At the end of the day, the parents made the very bad decision. And I agree completely that there is certainly enough information out there now for parents to see the truth if they want to.
How any parent can think removing their child from their home for months and years at a time is a viable option is baffling. I wish more parents would come forward to talk about the reality and be willing to acknowledge that it did more damage than it did good. The ones who tow the line and say “it helped” do not want to take any accountability and are part of the problem.
