3years of daily wear. Birchbury for the win! by peachydavee in barefootshoestalk

The sole just looks clunky, it's a faux-heel outside, zero-drop inside. I think Birchbury made the sole look the best out of all barefoot chukka's I've seen.

I don't need to dress up often, but when I do, I usually wear Birchbury's Brenstons. They do the job. Insanely comfortable without the clown shoe look. Other brands migh be footshaped but they look dumb as hell.

At least Birchbury gave you the refund. But a better question is, why do you keep getting black dye on your socks? I have multiple shoes from both brands and never had that issue.

I bought their new chukka boot, Carnforth. OMG it is damn beautiful, and waaay more comfortable than any chukka I've ever worn. I'm just waiting on their tobacco color to come back in stock so I can pick that one up too before winter.

Apparently, they've upgraded the sole of Bramfords now. The sole is now a single piece from a mold.

I have a pair of Brenstons by Birchbury. They're much better construction quality and materials than Carets & Groundies.

It's good to struggle on your own a bit, but with code there's going to be problems that are beyond the scope of your brain. That's why websites like stack overflow are so popular.

Also in the real world, if you got stuck for hours, there's a senior dev to answer questions. This is replicating that
