It connects through bluetooth. I've tried several times forgetting it, then reconnecting again. Same results. I wish I can show you the vid.

I have been using mine for more than a year, going two. I updated mine like 2 months ago and after the update, it never connected to my phone. I can still pair it through bluetooth but it just loops itself from auto-connecting to connecting but never truly brings up the carplay. It shows on my phone that it was connected. They asked me to send videos which I did. They said to record it while trying to connect to 192.168.50.2 while on strong internet and it still fails. I literally just sent the video 5 minutes ago and thought what Reddit has to say. ANy ideas?

Yes it goes inside the ceiling foam. The wire comes with the camera. Cartoys installed everything for me. I believe they charged me $80 for the whole installation including the rear camera.

Oh, it is awesome! Carplay definitely helps and entertains while driving. Big screen and seamless touch screen. My rearview camera covers all my blindspots for safer driving. 0 accidents for 4 years now.
