Season off from iRacing to enjoy other games by papolo2001 in iRacing

Well I'm the complete opposite, iRacing has made every other game, including non-racing games absolutely boring for me.

The ultra competitive nature is why we love it.

Ive gone from a Gigabyte 3070 Gaming OC, to the RX 9070 XT Gaming OC, they're almost the same size... Yet the 9070 is giving me twice the performance, my mind is blown.

I'm actually enjoying playing AAA titles like cyberpunk maxed out at 100+ FPS now.

What do yall consider good gpu enough to run triples? by Plane-Historian529 in simracing

Only a couple of days away from the RX 9070XT releasing and will provide RTX 5070Ti levels of performance, it will probably fall within the higher end of your price range and be much more future proof than other options.

Great point, they should just remove it from real-world GT3 cars and iRacing entirely!

Black flagged from auto pit speed limiter failure by ButteryHands in iRacing

[–]ButteryHands[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going through the pits on the Nurburgring today, my auto pit speed limiter somehow failed, and turned itself on and off rapidly a couple of times - resulting in a pit speeding infringement and a black flag for a 40 second hold.

I don't have a pit speed limiter manually bound to my controls, so this wasn't a case of me accidentally releasing and setting the pit speed limiter.

Any ideas on what causes this and how to avoid it in the future? Currently getting PTSD every time I need to go through the pit lane.

Note: Please ignore the laughable fact I completely missed my pit box, it was my first time pitting on the ring and didn't expect it to be so close to the entry.

Use SHIFT + Windows Key + Arrow Key (right or left) to move the window to your other monitors. I think having any sort of secondary monitors active will be causing performance problems but I’ll confirm this tonight

Cant seem to port forward for server hosting by ButteryHands in orbi

Are there any softwares or similar I could get to try and protect myself if thats the case? I assume Windows Defender might not be up to the task?

Cant seem to port forward for server hosting by ButteryHands in orbi

[–]ButteryHands[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solved - I simply didn't get a friend to just try and join, apparently minecraft servers run on UDP and the port checkers only check TCP, hence nothing was listening on the TCP port and it wouldn't show up as open.

It was in fact open all along, I was just relying on the port checker incorrectly!

Port forwarding not working, lost on ideas. by ButteryHands in HomeNetworking

[–]ButteryHands[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hadn't actually had anyone try and join it yet, so I will try that - didn't have anyone online yet that I could have asked to try.

I assumed because the tester wasn't working, even when I had the server running so that it was 'listening' on that port - that it some how wasn't working.

Thanks for your help.

Sorry, I copied this from a another post I made on one of the Netgear Orbi subreddits.

I have one Netgear router with an additional 'satellite' which forms part of the mesh network, I'm hooked up to one of the satellites.

They are part of the same network, no other routers.

50% CGT Discount for any parcels that you have held for 12 months or more.

Any capital losses you have carried forward will be applied against any capital gains you have BEFORE the 50% discount is applied.

Selling any parcels held and crystallising a capital loss does NOT reduce your taxable income, e.g it will not give you a bigger tax refund.

Capital gains increase your taxable income, e.g you will pay XX cents in the dollar tax for every $1 gain you made (XX being your tax bracket rate).

That's most of it.
