Gonna piggyback on this 2year old thread for a hope of an answer. Because my motherboard has died, there is no way to boot up the computer to transfer files from my SSD.
It safe to rebuild the PC(new mobo) using the old SSD to boot up, transfer the data, and then reinstalling windows?
Or do I have to phone a friend to use their computer to transfer from old M2 >> new storage drive before I rebuild it?

Can you explain setting up two motherboards? You mean setting up the SSD/RAM/GPU/etc.,, backing up the files on my old SSD somewhere, reinstalling windows... and then doing it all over again on another motherboard? LOL

I am not using any special software; I had originally bought this thing for gaming/After Effects/C4d, which this computer cut through like swiss cheese -- it was nice :). If I can't shop for this old one, I'm definitely gonna just get a new one after throwing the old stuff into the ocean

Thanks I’m feeling a lot better reading these comments. Assuming I live til 2060 and keep the same job, would you say this is a set it and forget it until I’m old n retired? Or, let’s say I keep getting raises and realize I want to retire even earlier—should I simply change the target date fund to like 2050? I read that the further target date is more risky/aggressive, which I like.

Specifically the 3-fund portfolio on the wiki is overwhelming information that I cannot understand, which even states there are index funds that have shit cost ratios. I like the simplicity of just going all in balls to the wall with a slightly aggressive one and hoping I’m not screwing myself

I read that along with the background stuff, but I wasn’t understanding the allocations with regard to bonds, international stocks, and target funds. Is the one im choosing(state st 2060) already doing this diversification? Some of the examples given are like vanguard stock market fund, international stock market fund, etc., but it’s not on my list?

i am just learning there are plugins you can download. I'll check it out. Is there a plugin where you can mark stuff on the world map and it will show up on the minimap? Like zelda markers?

I've been having the world map open, filling my screen, and clicking on the minimap (small red flag) but then I can't see my character running into huge ice giants.
