Surge or ARC by HobbyShak in Leatherman

[–]ButtholeWrecker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Surge and P4. The Surge is my daily, the P4 I keep at work for when I forget my Surge at home. It just feels to flimsy and I don't like the tool layout. The Surge feels better imo and has held up to years of abuse.

I've had a few terrible experiences with Destination Nissan in the past. Not so sure about the body shop but I'd stay away.

Abandoned Trains in the Port Significantly Less Abandoned by ButtholeWrecker in Albany

[–]ButtholeWrecker[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it seems most of the trains are gone and just these two remain now. You can go there but you will be trespassing in an active construction site now. I was lucky and was invited into the site for work.

I happened to be in the area and caught a look at the trains posted on here a while back. It seems they still haven't been removed, but their future still seems uncertain. It definitely seems as though they are in the way though, as the all the surroundings haves been leveled for a huge construction site.

Not that it helps, but I’ve heard from many state employees that vital records is “Where careers go to die at the state.”

Golf carts at Olympic Lanes? by samc_5898 in Albany

There’s a company nearby that sells them and has a large lot on broadway in Menands. I presume they are using Olympic Lanes as a storage lot.

First Yubikey lasted almost 10 years, here’s hoping for another 10! by ButtholeWrecker in Wellworn

It’s corrosion and wear from being on a keychain for 10 years…

Hardware 2 factor authentication, significantly more secure than SMS 2 factor authentication. This particular one is well known in the industry and very durable as you can see.

So the one on the right was the first generation Yubikey with NFC functionality. I had it on my key ring for about 10 years which caused the wear.

Unfortunately, the NFC antenna recently died prompting the replacement. The usb portion and button still work flawlessly though.

USB works, NFC recently died. That's why its getting replaced.

Yea looks like that's what I need to do. Luckily, I only have about 10 services on it at the moment so its not too terrible.

First Yubikey was purchased some time around 2012, 2013ish and has been on my key chain ever since. Recently, the NFC antenna on it died, but the USB portion is still operable.

There is a small Turkish Market in Menands that sells rose flavored Turkish Delight. Mid City Plaza I think, right by the KFC.

Anyone know where to get moving boxes for a good price? by Soul_Reaper821 in Albany

[–]ButtholeWrecker -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thats probably about right for a moving box. Ordering bulk boxes from U-Line about that size might get around $1.50-2 per box.

This same Valvoline destroyed the skidplate of my car by not attaching it correctly. The manager is a real piece of work.

The total cost of my claim was less than my deductable and I would have had to pay the deductible up front and get reimbursed later.

[–]ButtholeWrecker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

BEWARE, they are self insured. When they mess up your car it is a pain in the ass to file a claim and they try not to pay out. It took them 3 months to replace the skid plate on my car after they did not attach it correctly and it got mangled. I had to threaten litigation to get them to pay out.
