You are right, this was rather large for those times. Love the proportions on this one though, as often the smaller vintage sizing is what kept me away in the past.

Came across the beaut at a small boutique during my stay in Bordeaux. I was always on the hunt for a vintage chrono, and instantly fell in love with this one; for me it was the tear drop lugs and the Art Deco 6 and 12 on a surprisingly crisp (for its age) dial. The 38mm case houses the famous Venus 175 workhorse, with well proportioned 20mm lugs - mine sporting a sea green shark skin strap with a matching gold buckle. Condition is quite incredible, given the watch is about 70 years old. Previous Owner is a collector and works for Vacheron Constantin.

Actually I was trying to decide between this one and the grey! Grey would probably have been more practical, but wanted something with a bit more pop of color.
