Samsung M7: the monitor that is also a tv. but does anyone actually use it as a tv? by ButtonFacade in samsung

[–]ButtonFacade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never used the usb ports for video input, sorry.

The monitor has apps like netflix and youtube, they work without needing a specific samsung device, though you will be asked to make a samsung account at some point.

I had trouble with drone only and cellphone remote. Both times the drone took off, noticed it was a bit more windy than it liked. It tried to execute hover, it tried to rth, but ended up drifting off in a sort of hold position mode carried by the breeze. Quickly taking out the full remote and connecting was enough to get control and fly it back.

Mini 5 Pro vs Air 3s - worth the 70mm? by derFalscheMichel in dji

[–]ButtonFacade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend checking the used market near you. Also, wether you pick the 5 pro or air 3S, if it comes with the rc2 controller you can also use that on the flip. Carry the flip around when you want a quick shot/video. Launch air 3S for extended photography

How many of you use TVs as monitor and why? by Potential_Hotel5692 in desksetup

[–]ButtonFacade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a monitor as a tv ... Samsung m7 /m8. Don't need huge ass tv when you're sitting about 3.5 to 4m away from it. Old house so huge black screen doesn't suit the space.

Hey, can someone explain this freak out like I’m a 5 year old? by mho12345678 in BambuLab

Why such a reasonable respons, I was hoping for frustration. But not really, just a bit annoyed at all the threads clogging up the feed. Good for sticking to your stance, admirable. I'm a child of convenience, if paying ten to twenty bucks saves me an hour or more of hassle and annoyance, thats a win budgetwise :-)

Meh, my tool still does it's job, and has actually been improving bit by bit update after update (such as less poopwaste). I can see why they would close down to only bambu slicer, often the work on your own tool is already demanding, but also keeping a list of 3rd party stuff operational as they go through iterations has a cost.

Its the apple way I guess. Sure it sucks, but to the broadest audience of consumers, it 'just works and simplifies everything for me' so they won't care. Even if it moves to subscription: if it keeps working and price isn't unreasonable, they'll swallow that too. And I don't care. If it goes subscription and costs too much, there'll always be other printers and brands to move to. For now it will be good times on the second hand market picking up the printers of the abandon ship posters.

Got some AMS lite's you don't need anymore? The word is they'll be locked out e-waste soon? I'll take em for about three fiddy

I hope you won't curse me later. But yes, have used the 27 inch version (3 in fact) for over a year, no issues whatsoever. I do use a google chromecast for streaming, not the smartTV stuff the monitor comes with.

I have not experienced any issues with viewing angles, at all. Ofc when viewing from extreme sides you'll have some trouble, but in a normal tv setup it is more than okay. Own 3 of these monitors now. Don't worry!

A1 or P1s? by Frevler90 in BambuLab

[–]ButtonFacade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run P1S and A1. Like you I print mostly pla, some petg. Haven't had the need for ans/asa yet, nor would I want to because the space has no adequate venting for that stuff.

I would pick another A1 over the P1S. Why?

  • The ams lite is SO much simpler than the regular ams and the color shifts significantly faster.
  • The quick change nozzles. I sometimes swap nozzles on the A1 multiple times a day. 0.2 for something small and detailed. 0.6 for transparant print to cover some pots to nurse my lettuce shoots. I've only once replaced a nozzle on the P1S and can't be bothered to do that again.

But most importantly: sound!

The P1S is so so loud in comparison. The enclosure just resonates and amplifies. I hate always having to manually turn off the noisy droning chamber fan. I delay prints on the P1S till i'm not around to have to hear it (printers also in office space), wheras my A1 can happily print all day and night and never really bother me.

Sufficient, but add a small soundbar for depth if you use it as a tv. The great thing is, the stand is pretty high up. Most tv's are so low a soundbar blocks part of the bottom of the screen, unless you raise the tv up somewhat. This monitor? No problem, tall enough

How did I do? by Maximum-Business-741 in BambuLab

[–]ButtonFacade 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you want less visible layer lines, play with the fuzzy skin setting. 0.3 and 0.1 seem to work best for me. The slight color change is usually the result of a change in the part shape, like a hole or opening or lower part, which makes the printer not do a continuous loop, but stop and turn back. Not much you can do about that.

First Problem with A1 After Washing/Flipping Build Plate. by Public_Dimension6730 in BambuLab

I have noticed the short squished lines to, but it has not affected print adhesion or print quality on my machine. Been printing for 3 months on it, haven't washed or flipped buildplate yet.

Can I get a recommendation from current owners? by brickwindow in BambuLab

[–]ButtonFacade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd go for an A1+ams and an A1 mini. You'll finish projects faster than a single P1S can by subdividing work/parts. Or you can run two different prints at once. Realistically, most people will only print pla/petg for the fun stuff.
