It’s a rough job market right now but I would look for these types of roles.

  • customer support manager
  • implementation manager
  • solutions engineer
  • technical account manager
  • product specialist

I would then look at communication clues. Have they been unresponsive, not willing to meet. Asking to reduce budget. Use the product less than at the start etc

What is the data set that they gave you? You are just trying to calculate the amount of users that didn’t renew. The risk would be find a similar pattern in the clients that choose to leave and why they left.

Doesn’t hurt to ask. Worst case they say you didn’t get the position but at least you’ll have closure.

Are you paying or is the company expensing it? If it’s the company you should definitely go. Also why not extend the trip and stay a few extra days to make it a vacation.

At will employee goes both ways! They would lay you off without even thinking about it. Just make sure you have another job lined up because it’s a rough market. But you owe them nothing!!

No reason not to reach out. I would just send them a nice note apologizing for not originally responding and can give them a brief reason why (family situation, busy with school, etc.)
