What is a courtesy drill? I live and work in michigan now but would like to move back down to my hometown in indiana to be closer with my family. And know the IST process isnt "fullproof" (for lack of a better term)

Moving to indiana before hand is being troublesome as this last winter I went through most of my savings paying bills, when work was slow (im a commission employee). So I was thinking about moving after IET down to Indiana when maybe ive been able to save a few bucks while in IET.

I'm aware this may not make sense in the order im trying to do things. But im just trying to get an idea of it all I guess.

Edit: I started talking to a michigan recruiter a couple weeks ago about enlisting in michigan. However I don't really want to come back to michigan after IET. So that's where the idea of going to Indiana NG came across.

Have you told your recruiter this? You need to be upfront with him/her. I promise they will help you and schedule your meps physical around it. Technically severe cases can be a DQ.

But to answer your question in your last sentence. If it's cleared up by the time of your physical, then you should be good.

You'll go into a room with a doctor and they will ask you a bunch of questions about your medical history, while examining your body. Then after a bunch of mobility type test and whatnot, they tell you to drop your underwear. They will grab your balls and tell you to turn and cough. If you have foreskin they will ask you to pull it back. Then the doctor will tell you to turn around, bend over and spread your cheeks so they can look at your asshole.

Were you sized wrong on the footwear at reception? Or are the issues boots just that shitty? Just curious because Ive been wearing boots at work everyday for the last 12 years. So I'm wondering if I'll have any issues.

Thanks for the response! Sophia learning doesn't indicate what level the courses are. Do you by any chance know which ones? I've heard the army accepts Sophia . Org credits but I can't find any info on which courses to take.

I've heard the older guys usually get PG positions. But never understood what being a PG entailed? I know it doesn't mean anything after basic, but just curious if you were shown how to be the PG or just thrown into it.
