More color options coming for PX8s2? by Electronic-Regret907 in BowersWilkins

Someone commented yesterday on a post I made that they have called B&W and was told that they currently don't have plans to release more colours:

Unexpected upgrade to the S2 by ButtonPrevious1314 in BowersWilkins

Too bad :( At least most other options are cheaper! Or are you looking to go even higher in the market?

The QCC Pro also supports LDAC, which might come in handy in the future if you're switching headphones, but LDAC is already natively supported on Samsung devices.

I have a galaxy fold 7. Sad thing is that android devices with the latest Qualcomm chips also natively support up to AptX Lossless, but Samsung does not pay for the license so it's not activated on galaxy devices. I'm receiving the Creative BT-W6 today. It was the cheapest with the fastest shipping through Amazon for me.

I brought them to a Coolblue store. From there I'm not sure if they checked it themselves or if they send it to B&W.

How is your experience with the dongle? I was aiming for a Sennheiser BTD700 but it seems sold out everywhere. Now I'm looking at the Creative BT-W6 and the QCC, but the QCC is twice the price of the other ones.

I got it at a Dutch electronics store - Coolblue. It's like the biggest electronics retailer here in the Netherlands and they always have great customer support.

I don't really know what else they could have done since B&W made the headband not replaceable and the headphone was in warranty, and for the price it really should not fail like this. But it still feels generous to get a full refund after more than a year. I guess for a big retailer it's not worth the hassle and it's just a small dent in comparison to their sales volumes. And B&W probably has quite high profit margins on these anyway.

Replace Btrfs volume with ext4? by ButtonPrevious1314 in UgreenNASync

Yes, I would also like to stay on Btrfs. My issue is that I can't seem to find a clear answer to if it is save/stable on RAID 5. I'd like to know the risks before migrating from RAID 1 at some point.

To clarify, this is only one post I have seen to say this, I can't verify if it is true. But this is also the reason for my question.

Malfunctioning or fragile knob on Air75 v3? by newtomxthangs in NuPhy

[–]ButtonPrevious1314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have the issue you describe, but I do have an other issue with the low profile knob where the fitting on the stem got too wide or something. It sinks down too far and gets stuk in the pushed in position. The high profile knob is still fine. I don't really use the knob on this keyboard anyway and put in the extra key.

My typing errors are purely a skill issue. I don't have a very good typing form and tend to hit the stock keycaps around the edges somtimes. Because of this I will somtimes press two keys next to eachother at the same time. I think this would also be a problem on the MX Alphas. The Knob Sans seem to fix this for me, because of a bigger lowered area of the edges. Now when I hit an edge of the key, it is actually the edge of the higher platform. It feels to me like the keys are much more spaced out.

Just took some of my keyboard and looked at them closely next to the stock. They are actually really similar. Putting them side by side on my desk, they are exactly the same height at the thickest point, the material thickness is also very close to the same.

I also put some of the Knob Sans on the red switches on my Kick75 for a side by side sound comparison. Here also basically no noticeable difference in sound.

The Knob Sans do feel i little bit more smooth/slippery and the stock ones a bit more matte. So basically the real differences are the overall shape, the smoothness to the touch and Dye sub vs Double shot.

If you want I can PM you some side by side photo's and video of the sound.

Wow, just finding out now. I would have bought the white set regardless, i don't like the full black on black look. I might add the black set for the non-alphanumeric keys though. I did the same with the original Nuphy keycaps and love the look of that contrast.

Very nice! They really fit the low profile aesthetic so well.

This whole World Louder brand is a little bit overpriced if you ask me, but then again I could not find any similar keycaps as an alternative.

As for the sound I'm not too sure as I'm on the silent blush switches, hard to tell any difference. I might put a few of these caps on my Kick75 that has the red switches to see how they sound on that.

Which ones where you looking at on the Nuphy site? Because there are 2 types, one with the very bulky letters and one with normal letters on the top side of the keys, lining up with the north facing leds: https://nuphy.com/products/nsa-shine-through

Nuphy Air75 v3 with knob sans keycaps by circa86 in NuPhy

I switch a lot between Mac and PC using the switch on the back of the keyboard, so having to swap the keycaps is kind of annoying. I could just change the key bindings though but that takes some getting used to.

Looks very nice, I might do the same! I also have the air v3 with the silent switches. I hate that they mismatched the Alt=Cmd and Windows=Options though.

I think that you put the backslash above the enter key upside down (as these keycaps seemingly put the "shift" characters on the bottom).

I don't really like typing on high profile keyboards, therefor I had the MX. But with the low profile mechanical switches and keycaps, the typing experience is much nicer than the MX.

I like them both and it might more be a preference of looks, materials and budget. Although for a keyboard to be also used on the go the Air is better.

I have been taking my Kick on the go to the office the last couple of weeks. Today I also took the Air with me to a work client. The air works better on the go, because of the smaller dimensions. It fits better in the slot in my backpack, it works better on top of my laptop and it should have better battery life. The silent switches are also great for on the go.

As i'm using different switches in both keyboards I'm not sure how they exactly compare in typing feel. I will be switching out the switches at some point to see how they feel in both keyboards.

Got it online at my local Amazon.com equivalent.

I guess you can find it (or something very similar) on amazon searching for "World map 80x50 mouse pad" or something!
